*Wade*

"Do you want to tell them or do I have to because they are my parents?" Petey says, grasping at my wrist, pleading.

"Well, you proposed to me, so I guess..."

(Wait. What are you doing?)

[oh, no, he is going to offer to—]

"I will tell them."

Petey exhales loudly and deeply. "Oh my God thank you so much babe I was really stressing about telling them and I'm still anxious from asking you and still surprised that you said yes  and--"

"You were anxious about asking me? You were surprised I said yes?"

[DUMP HIM! DUMP HIM! DUMP HIM!]

(No, he should marry him twice.)

[how ... how would that even work?]

(They get married, then get divorced, then get married again.)

[ah. I understand.]

"Holy Jesus christ, will you two shut up already?!" I yell. "Not you, Petey, it's just... the... boxes."

"...okaaayyyyyy....."He says, trailing off. "But yes, I was nervous and surprised. I kept convincing myself that my dads were paying you or something."

I chuckle to myself. "Well first off, I would totally do that, and second, I would definitely tell you."

[here's my question, would you actually tell him? You didn't tell him about us or your ex - that dumb lady.]

(She was not dumb, okay?)

[You were the one who loved her, not me.]

"Wade? Are you okay?" He says, touching my shoulder gently. I flinch slightly, and he backs off. "Do you want me to leave you alone for a few --"

"No," I interrupt, quickly pulling him close in a hug.

We stand, hugging for ten minutes straight. "Wade," he whispers. "Are you sure you're okay?"

"I never said I was okay in the first place," I admitted.

He pulls away quickly. "Why didn't you tell me this?" He enunciated. "What's wrong? Tell me. Tell me! Wade. Wade! Wade you need to tell me right now."

[It seems like he's trying to filibuster or something.]

(Yeah, that's kinda weird.)

"He's not... filibustering. Whatever that means." I glance back at Petey and smile. "Um, so, I'm not okay because I'm crazy and i feel alone when i'm not with you and i hate everyone and i'm always tired and food has no taste anymore."

I take a few steps backwards, fearing what Petey might do with this information. "Wade," he spoke firmly. "I promise, everything is going to be okay as long as I'm here."

He hugs and kisses me softly. I close my eyes and wrap him in a gentle hug.

[Hey wait. When you hug someone, isn't there supposed to be that warmth from them?]

(Yeah, I think you're right.)

I opened my eyes. "Petey?" He's gone. "Avengers!! Peter is gone!!"

*Peter*

"AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADEE!!!"

Wind whips passed my ears and my voice is destroyed by the screaming.

I look up at my captor to see The Vulture. "WHY THE FUCK IS EVERYONE KIDNAPPING ME?!"

I see Wade at the window, sliding his katanas into place on his back. I smile warmly at him. He better hurry.

He tries to throw a grappling hook, but misses. He then tries to throw ropes at Vulture, but he doges them. Finally, he tries throwing a rope to me. I release a web to catch it, and pull it close.

I wrap the rope around my arm three times and tie it at my wrist. Wade ties his end to a cement pillar inside the building. I brace myself for the force. If I don't slip out of Vulture's claws, I might pop my shoulder out of socket.

The rope suddenly becomes taut, and I immediately slip out of The Vulture's claws. "So long, loser!" I yell, swinging quickly towards Avenger's tower.

I release another web, and pull myself back up to Wade.

"We should tell them now."

"Tell us what?" Dad asks.

Wade lifts his left hand. "Petey proposed to me."

Everyone - Nat, Bruce, Thor, Bucky, Dad and Pop - gasped. Thor dropped Mjölnir. The thud made everyone jump, but then they all whipped their heads back to Wade and I.

"The arachnid boy and Mr.Wilson will be perfect together," Thor said. "At least I think so."

I smiled. "Thanks, Thor."

"You know you're only eighteen, right?" Dad asks, crossing his arms.

"Yeah," I say. "Is that a problem, Dad?"

"I was just thinking that you might want to drink at your own wedding."

"Oh, I've got that covered."

Everyone raises an eyebrow. "How..?"

"Well, I have a friend who's ordained and he won't care if we drink or not. It's pretty much going to be the people in this room, plus extras."

"Extras?" Wade asks.

"Yeah, like Clint, Dr. Stephen Strange, and Loki, son of Odin."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, are you sure inviting Loki is a good idea?" Pop asks.

"Yes, it is. Otherwise, we have to find an actual priest."
