"Now last one to be dropped off." Reed said as we pulled out of Jonah's house I watched him go inside and I smiled.
"Yep sadly I don't wanna go back I'm scared." I said looking down.
"Why?" Reed said looking at me with a concerned look.
"Last time I was there mom did something. You can barely see it now, but there was bad bruises there." I said as I looked out the window. Reed parked in front of the house.
"Listen mom was probably was way too drunk you know she gets bad when she drinks." He said looking at me. I shrugged and started to grab my stuff. "I'll see you tomorrow sis love you." I looked at him and smiled. I hugged him.
"See ya tomorrow bro. Love you more." I said before closing my door. I started walking to the door and my stomach started turning and I turned around to wave at Reed before going in, but he was already gone. I sighed and started to head inside.
"Where the fuck have you've been!" I hear my mom yell as I walk in I roll my eyes. I locked the door behind me.
"Missed you too mom." I said as she came in view. She gave me a look. "I was at Jonah's house and then today I went to the lake with some friends."
"Thanks for talking to me about it." She yelled at me.
"Oh really? You abused me and thought I would've talked to you after?" I said raising my voice a bit. She looked at me and pushed me to the ground.
"Never ever raise your voice to me again. Don't forget who is in charge here." She said as she is standing in front of me. I started to tear up.
"I wish I could leave this place just like Reed." I said as I scooted up.
"Yeah and so you can try to fix the mess you made?" She said as she grabbed my arm and brought me closer. "You need to start behaving." Tears started to roll down my cheeks. I tried squirming to get out of her clutches. She just started squeezing harder.
"Why are you doing this?" I said as I started to cry harder as she squeezed harder and harder.
"Cause you've lost your place you need to step it down a notch and I never noticed how bad you were until now." She said as she threw me down. I cried harder. As my arm was in pain. I quickly grabbed my stuff and ran out the door. I ran out of there so fast. I pulled out my phone and called Reed.
"Drea? You okay?" He said as he picked up.
"N-No I need to go somewhere else then home right now." I said with shaky breaths.
"Okay I'll pick you up soon. You can come here and sleep I'm pretty sure Aunt Carly wouldn't mind." He said. We both said okay and hung up.
I waited for him for like 10 minuets. I quickly got in the car and he gave me a hug a long one. After the hug he started driving.
"What did she do?" Reed said finally breaking the silence. I lifted my arm and he turned on the light to see. "Jesus Christ. Tomorrow before school I'll drive you over to get dressed I know she wouldn't hurt you when I'm around." I smiled and looked at him.
We get to my Aunts house. Once we walked through the door I hear my aunt screaming at Reed. "REED ALEXANDER DEMING YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS? YOU HAVE SCHOOL TOMORROW!"
"Yeah yeah I know! I had to pick up somebody." He said as we started walking to the kitchen to see her.
"What? You have School and you brought someone here?!" She said mad I can tell. Once she saw me she looked surprise. "Oh hey there sweetie. Why are you here? Wait, you both know I'm not an escapee route to go to right?"
"Hey Auntie I know I know but mom kinda hurt me real bad." I said as I kinda raised my arm and once Carly saw it she looked at me with a concern look.
"You can stay here as long as you like but I'm going to talk to your mom about it tomorrow and no one is stopping me." She said as she started heading upstairs. "Good night darlings."
"Night." Me and Reed said at the same time. He brought me upstairs into the room I would always sleep in when I was little . I look around and smiled. We both hugged and said goodnight. I don't wanna hide away from my mom, but she scared me. I'm scared to go back I'm scared to get hit again.
<morning> I wake up by my alarm I look around and noticed that I wasn't in my own bed. I get up in pain. That bed is smaller then my bed and I maybe tiny and short, but this bed isn't good for me. I walk into Reeds room and see him in a bigger bed. Well, I guess he does sleep here every night I guess he should get a bigger one.
"Yo loser wake up." I said as I shook him awake. He just sat there. So I went on the side of his bed and bounced. He whined and rolled over. All of a sudden Carly came in.
"Oh. You are gonna try waking him up. Well good luck." Carly said before she just walked out again. I laughed he was always difficult to wake up. Every Christmas we would have to wait for him to wake up himself. I shook him again to wake him up. Finally I got him up.
<hour later> We took off after the house my mom wasn't there luckily. So, now we are off to go to school.

"So, you still planning on breaking Jonah's heart?" Reed asks with a laugh. I placed my head back and whined.
"No of course not he is too precious for that." I said smiling just by the thought of him.
"Oh my gosh you fell in love!" Reed basically yelled.
"No—Yes—I don't know. I think just by thinking about him gives me this feeling of safety and happiness, kissing him makes time stop, cuddling with him makes me feel just wanted, his smile gives me this warm fuzzy feeling, and I could careless about what others think now cause like I only care about what he thinks." I said and I saw Reed smiling.
"Dude you fell in love and you fell hard!" He said. Shit... I did. I fell in love with Jonah Marias.
