Mackenzie finds the courage to ask out her enemy's brother, and gets rejected. From then, Jenzie get's complicated.
There's so much ups and downs, twists and turns, fights and makeups.
Kenzie MIGHT get her happy ending- with Johnny and Lauren- but...
A/N: I published my story a couple days ago and I've been introduced to the fandom on Wattpad. I never knew there were so many talented Jenzie fans on here!
Just so you know, this chapter doesn't have much Jenzie in it, but the next chapter is filled with it, so please be patient with me!
I finished this chapter early, so I just published it. This chapter was originally 2500+ words long. So I just split it in half, so I can get two chapters out of it. Also, I've been trying to fix my grammar, sorry for extra commas and stuff. I'm planning to go back and fix the grammar on the previous uploads. Anyways, enjoy this chapter!
MACKENZIE'S POV:
(Monday Morning,
At the Ziegler House).
"KENZIE!" Maddie screeched, "Wake up!"
I groan REALLY loudly and reply, "I don't want to."
Even though I did. I wanted to see Johnny. He really surprised me yesterday, I'm pretty sure that I still like him. I hope we can go back to being how we were before. I miss him a lot.
"Actually, I think you do" Maddie chuckles.
"And why's that..." I ask, already knowing the answer.
"Because you get to see Johnny there", Maddie snickers.
Ugh! Maddie knows me so well. "You're right, how am I supposed to act around him?"
Maddie was always right. About everything. So I tend to tell her everything--scratch that, almost everything.
Maddie sits on my bed and I could tell she was going to give me some important lesson. "Be friendly, don't be awkward. Also, don't flirt with him unless he flirts with you first", I knew it. She continued her lecture by saying "For today, you're strictly just friends. Don't let things get too serious too fast."
I'm going to take her advice because she always seemed to be right.
I got up from my bed and decided to wear something casual, something that won't make me stand out from the crowd.
I don't want to cause any attention to myself after what happened at school the other day. I get Johnny turned me down, but why does everyone care?! I threw on a sweater and a pair of tights, and out the door I go!

(At school)
Once I walked into the school doors, everyone was staring at me. Johnny was really popular, so asking him out was like an insult to everyone. I walked down the stairs and gulped every 5 seconds. About 2 minutes of guilt-full walking later... Annie started walking with me.
