41. Bonus Chapter!

A/N: No dedication bc it's a bonus chapter.

I forgot to mention this, but I changed the covers.

I tried to make them, but I didn't really suceed.

No, I shouldn't.

Maddie will come home and find me here.

Eh, who cares? I have nothing more to lose.

I layed my head on the arms of the chair, falling asleep. )

*End of flashback*

MACKENZIE'S POV:

Someone was shaking me.

I open my eyes, only to be met by Maddie's glare.

Well, that's definitely the first thing I want to see when I wake up. Note the sarcasm.

"Come on, Kenzie. You need to get in the house," Maddie informs. 

I nod my head, groaning while rubbing eyes. I slowly walk out of the backyard, and into the house.

Maddie must've come home from school and found me in the backyard. She was probably thinking 'what is this idiot doing?!'

She motions for me to sit on the couch, and I do as told. She sits down right after me, and she get's comfortable, ready to give me a whole out lecture.

"Mackenzie, what were you doing in the backyard?" Maddie interrogated.

I shrugged my shoulders. I just woke up, I wasn't really in the mood to tell her anything.

Maddie sighs. "Is this about Johnny?"

I nod my head. 

Maybe I could look to Maddie for advice now. I use to talk to her all the time. But I stopped once I began hanging out with Johnny. She's more of a mother figure than my actual mom! The only problem is, she despises Johnny!

"Annie has been telling me everything that has been going on. What happened this time?" Maddie questioned, frowning while smirking at the same time.

"So, you know I've been ignoring him for the past month right? Anyway-"

All of a sudden, Maddie's phone vibrates, indicating she's received a notification.

Maddie apologized for the disruption, and checked the notification. I snuck a peek at the message. It read:

{ Jack: Let's hang out. I'm outside your house ;) }

Maddie gives me a sympathetic look, but I just chuckle and shake my head. "Go hang out with him. I don't want your love life to go down the drain just because you were too busy taking care of me. Go have fun!"

Maddie thanked me, and mouthed a "we'll continue this talk later."

I nodded, as she left the house.

I was so close to telling her everything.

Annie and Dylan would convince me to do something else stupid, so I can't look to them for advice.

I guess I'll just have to keep this pain in for now.
