A/N: I like this chapter, and I hope you do too.

I've been doing the 'previously' thing every chapter, so let's just stick with it :)

MACKENZIE'S POV:

( Previously:

I relaxed my body, as we walked into the building, laughing once I told him Annie and Hayden were still watching us.

It felt so good to be in Johnny's arms. Maybe we could do this more often...

Or not. Although, I'm certainly not complaining about this date anymore. )

*End of flashback*

Johnny and I walked over to Annie and Hayden, who were still pretending to play an arcade game. Johnny took his hand off of my shoulder once he realized that's why Annie and Hayden were laughing so much.

I sat on one of the chairs, poking Annie in the shoulder. She turned to me. "Yes?" She questioned, sending me a smirk and lifting her eyebrows.

"When does the Laser-tag game start?" I asked. I felt bad for interrupting her game with Hayden, but I didn't want to sit alone, wondering when the game started.

"A few minutes," Annie responds, resuming her game of Ice Hockey with Hayden.

Johnny came over and sat next to me. We both stared at our feet for a while, thinking about stuff.

I was thinking about the past month, and how crazy it's been. The past 4 years of my life were pretty boring. Mainly because the same thing was happening over and over again. Annie became my friend when we were in 6th grade. That year was when I went to middle school. I kept it to myself most of the time, but she invited me into her friend group and now she's my best friend.

I don't know how I would've survived without Annie. She helps me with everything. But everything changed once I asked out Johnny. I still remember that day, I thought it was horrible. But now that I look back at it, I come to see it wasn't as horrible as I thought it was. That's the day I got close with Johnny again. I don't regret a thing from that day.

I smiled to myself, remembering the past month with Johnny. I got to admit, there's been a lot of ups and downs, but he makes me happy-- in a way even Brandon never did.

Without even thinking, I clutched Johnny's left hand with my right one. He gave me a confused look, while I wrapped my fingers around his hand, he did the same. His look faded once our hands were interlocked, he was smiling.

Maybe he does like me. Or he's only doing this because we're on a date. Johnny is a player, I can't forget that. But he just seems so different now.

I was happy-- with Johnny. I had a huge smile plastered on my face, it was even bigger than his. "What are you so happy about?" Johnny squinted his eyes, suspicious. The smile was still on his face, he's so adorable.

Should I tell him? Oh, screw it. "The last month."

"What about the last month?" He questioned. Our hands were still interlocked.

I looked into his green eyes, while he copied my actions. My brown eyes aren't really that interesting, why does he want to look at them? "I'm happy because I was thinking about the last month."

He shook his head. "No, I know. But why does thinking about the last month make you happy?"

I hesitated for a second-- have I said too much? What if he doesn't like me in return? Whatever, it's not like I'm confessing my love to him. I could be talking about our friendship for all he knows, right? "Because you were in it."
