Nova and Kayla walked down the crowded high school hallway, heading into the senior filled cafeteria. It was finally Friday, and mostly everyone this weekend had made plans other than stay in the house sleeping their life away.

"Do you know what's wrong with Aaliyah? She's been acting weird the last few days." Kayla says walking beside Nova to the table they sat at.

"Uh, no. I haven't really noticed." Nova says, making her sentence sound natural as possible.

"Maybe it's just me." Kayla shrugs walking over to her assigned/not assigned seat and sitting down. Nova followed her actions, sitting down beside Chris.

"What took y'all so long to get here?" Cydney ask looking across the table at Nova.

"Hallway traffic." Nova simply states playing with the drawstrings on her hoodie.

"Do we have practice today?" Ny'Asia ask chewing a Ruffle while scrolling down on her phone.

"No. But we have tournaments next week. " Aaliyah says laying her head down on the table. Nova looks over at her before shooting a friendly smile, Aaliyah smiles as well, but soon returned back to the frown she had on her face.

Chris hadn't talked to anyone since he got to the lunch table, he was too busy typing away on his phone. He was now starting to regret taking advantage of his mom not being home this weekend....in which he informed everyone through social media that there would be a party at his house tonight.

Nova had tried to tell him it wasn't a good idea....but when had he ever really listened to her? She knew that with Chris's popularity his house would turn into a complete garbage can tonight.

"I'm finna get so drunk tonight." Christian dreamily sighs, more ready for tonight than anyone at the table. Nova shook her head, pulling her phone from out her jeans before laying it on the table, seeing she had no notifications. As always.

"You have a whole ass iPhone 8+ just for games....meanwhile I still have a 7 and have almost every social media possible. How that work?" Kayla ask picking up Nova's phone.

"It's a sign from God. She don't have any social media and don't be shaking her ass on FaceTime for boys. She was blessed with a 8+ and you still have a 7." Ny'Asia says. Kayla looks over at her before smacking the back of her head.

"Disrespectful." Kayla says rolling her eyes.

"Okay. I got Pizza, chips, different edibles, and different snacks. Yes or no?" Chris ask finally looking up from his phone.

"Nigga you forgot the most important shit." Cydney says.

"I got a few pounds of different shit last night, and I gotta get the drinks after school." Chris says, knowing exactly what Cydney was talking about.

"I can feel my hangover now." Ny'Asia sighs, placing her head in her hands.

"Are you going Nova?" Aaliyah ask looking over at Nova.
