Nova lays in her bed, every once and a while checking the clock to make sure she would have time to get ready for school, thinking of the day ahead of her.
The day was October 24th, a cloudy Tuesday morning. Winds were strong, and rain was slowly starting to trickle down her window. The weather was only making Nova's mood worsen.
Today was the day where she would finally become a, "woman" if you would...Another year of her bullshit that she's made it through. But also another upcoming year of more of her bullshit; she's had a fair round of her shitty years.
She lets out a frustrated groan before rolling over in her bed and staring at the white wall before her. She wondered if anyone would remember her birthday, she doubt it though. The only one who really remembered her birthday was Dejha...and there's no way she would wish her a happy birthday. Nova was old news to her.
Other than that, her family acted as if she didn't even exist, so she knew they wouldn't remember. The last time they wished her a happy birthday was on her fifteenth birthday; when her parents were still alive and made them come to her birthday party.
Other than that, she knew she wouldn't receive the nice greeting.
Beep; Beep; Beep!
Nova rolls her eyes while reaching her arm over and pressing the off button on her alarm. For today to be a day where she should be happy, she was feeling more sad than she does on the days when she has nothing to be happy about.
She could just seeing her day crumbling ahead of her.
"Let's get this shit over with." Nova groggily mumbles, throwing her legs from under the warm blanket and stepping into the cold wooden floor.
Her eyes travel to her bandaged wrapped foot making her roll her eyes for the second time in less than thirty seconds; She hated using a stupid pair of crutches for shit that didn't even hurt. Hopefully she would get her stitches out before the weekend....but it's not like she actually had anything to do.
Nova rises up from the comfortable mattress before walking over to her closet, her feet making a plap sound each time they touched the floor. She slides the door open and flicks the light switch revealing all of her color coated clothes.
Since it was rainy and dark outside, she thought it was best for her outfit to go with the weather along with her drowsy mood. Her hand reached for an oversized black hoodie, with the word Vans written with bold checkered print white and black letters going across it. Nova inwardly sighed not knowing if she actually felt like wearing jeans....in which she didn't. She grabs her handy dandy pair of black sweatpants along with a black PINK sports bra and matching panties. She then opens her sock drawer which held many different designs and colors of socks.
