Humble Enough To Know I'm Not Better Than Anybody And Wise Enough To Know That I'm Different From The Rest.

Thanksgiving Day🦃
Today was the wonderful day where everyone would feast until they felt 9 months pregnant; every true food lovers favorite day of the year.
The day honestly couldn't have came fast enough.
Everyone in the Williams resident was currently cooking, preparing for guest, or putting together their spectacular outfit for the Holiday. All except Nova, who was complete knocked out, not planning to wake up anytime soon.
This was an every year routine; she would lay in bed all day until the food was ready. She would go downstairs, not bothering to speak to anyone, fix herself a plate, and lock herself back in her room again. Times like this was the roughest for her....holidays were her least favorite time of the year just because her parents weren't there to make it special for her. Not to mention the day of her parents death was right around the corner- January 15th. It was these next few months that it really started to hit her hard; her parents were really gone and she couldn't do anything to bring them back. She truly despised holidays.
Nova's uncle and Tory never spoke a word about it, they didn't mind if she stayed in her room all day; it really wasn't anything new to them. Nor did Quincy and India care enough to go and check on her throughout the day. Nova was completely fine with that.
Meanwhile at the Brown's resident, family and close friends from both Texas and Virginia, were piling into the large house. The smell of Turkey, ham, and other classic Thanksgiving smells were filling the atmosphere. There was also many alcoholic drinks spread out around the large house and outside by the pool and patio.
Promise Ring by Tiffany Evans was blasting from the outside speakers, which is where most of the uncles were having a beer and watching the football game from the TV out there; along with a group of kids playing hide and seek or the pre-teens sitting with their feet in the pool, not bothering to talk- but sit on their phones.
"Eww, get that junk out my face." Chris says swatting his hand, trying to get the smell of the disgusting chitlins from out his nostrils. All his aunt Christine did was laugh and shove the chitlin in her mouth; both of Chris and his cousin, Aaron, did an exaggerated gag before rubbing out the kitchen and outside.

"Get ya moms man." Chris laughs uncovering his nose, breathing in the fresh air while Aaron laughed.
