Caring About What People Think Of You Is Useless. Most People Don't Even Know What They Think Of Themselves.

"Chrisss! You can't do that!" Nova yells throwing her hands in the air, looking at Chris with shock.

The time was 3 in the evening; due to daylights savings, the sun was preparing to set in the next hour or two. The two teens had been playing one on one for at least an hour, only because the first thirty minutes were Nova getting used to handling the ball again. To say she missed playing was an understatement, now that she had actually somewhat had the thrill and excitement.

But was she gonna push her stubbornness aside and try out this Wednesday? Nope. Not one bit.

"And why can't I?" Chris ask dribbling to half court, which is where Nova has been standing, swatting her hand over her face.

Beads of sweat were coming from the both of their bodies, Nova had took her jacket off, not worried about the scars on her wrist. Chris's shirt had came off somewhere during the game, but it wasn't like Nova hadn't seen him shirtless before.

"That was clearly traveling....you should know this shit!" Nova exclaims snatching the ball from Chris's hands.

"Damn. You're a worst sport than I am." Chris says mugging her.

"No. I just know how to play fair." Nova mumbles flipping Chris off. They were going up to a score of twenty-one points; and as everyone figured, Chris had 17 and Nova had 12. She wasn't too far behind Chris, but she was beginning to become tired.

The idea of just letting Chris win was heavily on her mind.

Nova quickly checks the ball to Chris as he passes it back, she lets out a sigh before dribbling the ball, keeping her eyes on Chris's hands the whole time.

He had been extremely fond of stealing the ball from Nova this whole game.

Nods takes a step forward, still dribbling the ball in her hand, wondering how in the hell to get past Chris. She crossed the ball between her legs before shrugging her shoulders and shooting from where she was.

Both of their heads turned to look at the ball, which successfully made it in the net. Nova holds her hand on her chest with a surprised smile, she wasn't even trying.

"I'm the goat." Nova says flipping her imaginary hair and smiling. Chris chuckles and rolls his eyes, running over to get the ball.

"That was a one time thing, don't get too flattered with yourself." Chris says.

"Well now I'm only loosing by two....I actually have a chance of winning." Nova smiles clapping her hands from excitement.

"You keep thinking that." Chris mumbles with a prominent smirk on his face. He dribbles the ball back over to where Nova was standing before leaning down.

Nova puts her hands in her knees, leaning to the level he was on. She pushes a straight price of hair that had fell out her bun behind her ear and patiently waits for Chris to start his play. She was pretty sure it would end with him scorning.

Chris dribbles the ball from hand to hand, staring at Nova. Nova looks up from the ground, catching Chris's stare. The two shared a share for at least ten seconds, which felt like ten minutes. Nova shivered, trying to take her eyes from Chris's, but failed miserably. It was like his deep brown eyes had some type of spell over Nova's chocolate colored eyes.
