"So then you would multiply the three hundred and five by four, and divide it by twelve."

I am waiting in the science lab for Ashtyn and Ned to be done.

Nobody was in here at the time since it's lunch now, but of course, Ashtyn has to help Ned now while I'm starving. I am debating whether or not to go eat lunch without her if she doesn't get done soon.

"Alright that's all the questions," Ashtyn said, as Ned was packing up his stuff.

"Thanks!" he yelled at her, while he left the lab with the door making a 'thud.' I sighed in relief, realizing I could now talk to Ashtyn.

"About time you two would be done," I teased, now that I had her attention. She shrugged casually, and then a wide smile came to her face. That wasn't a good sign.

"By the way, what were you going to tell me this morning? I never got to ask you because of the 'incident,'" she laughed, while I just rolled my eyes at her. I wasn't still quite over it.

"Well, my dad told me last night there are people that are searching for me... like actual people searching for me," I recalled, trying to be general about it. I couldn't give her too much information, but we were alone now plus she's my best friend.

Ashtyn's face that once had a smug smile turned into eyes so wide you would think they would pop out of her skull.

"Wait-really?" she asks, now completely into what I was saying.

"Yes! And they're having a meeting tonight about it!" Ashtyn looked like she was going to explode with excitement, which made me confused. Why did she think this was so cool?

"That's going to be so fun! You'll be like an actual part of the team!" she exclaimed, as she shook her hands in the air. I knew she would find it cool I get to be a part of the meeting, but I didn't think she would be this excited.

"Plus you get to see Thor..." she raised her eyebrows twice at me as she smugly smiled once again. I rolled my eyes, when was she ever going to realize Thor is just another one of her dream men.

"Ashtyn, I only like Kade-"

And then it hit me, right there in then what I just said.

I admitted it.

Ashtyn sat there on the lab stool shocked as if she seen a ghost. I was surprised though, wasn't it obvious?

"Why are you shocked? You knew it the whole time I just finally admitted it." She slowly shook her head as she moved it slightly to the side to look past me. I slowly turn around and follow her gaze to see the one and only Peter Parker standing in the doorway of the lab.

Oh no...

Once we both made eye contact, he instantly left the room.

Oh, I don't think so!

I ran off after him, trying to find the direction he went. I heard his footsteps down the left hallway so I ran up to him until I was standing right in front of him.

"Stop!" I yelled in his face. Since I was right in front of him, I noticed how much taller he was. He had to be at least half a foot taller than me.

I tried to be as buff as I could, "What did you hear," I stated, even though it was technically a question. It didn't seem like a question since I said it through gritted teeth though.

"I-I heard nothing," he croaked out, as he almost seemed as if he was sweating. Was I that terrifying?

I wasn't convinced though by his answer, "I know you heard something Peter." I glared deep within his soul.

As I waited for a response, all he did was stare at me with a slightly parted mouth. I groaned, impatient with the brown eyed boy.

"What you heard, you repeat to no one. No one. We never had this conversation, and we will never again. Understood?" I continued to hammer him, I almost felt bad for the awkward Peter. But I had to make sure no one knew.

He nodded real quickly up and down, and I stepped out of the way to give him the sign he can pass. He didn't hesitate to walk forward and leave at all.

I sigh as I turn my way back to see Ashtyn, casually leaning against one of the lockers observing me quietly. God knows how long she's been there.

"You are a whole lot scary when you're scared yourself, you know," she smirked as she bit into the apple she was planning on eating for lunch.

"It's called being a Stark."

I quickly jumped out of Happy's car. I looked up and around at the Avengers facility. It's been a while since I've been at this place.

Luckily Happy was able to give me a lift here after school, he only generally takes me to my home.

"Thank you Happy for giving Maria a ride here."

I suddenly turn around to see Pepper, talking through the car door window to Happy. I smiled realizing she's back now from her travel trip for Stark Industries. As soon as Happy drives off, Pepper looks up to me.

"Hello Maria," she says softly, as she starts to head towards the building. I assumed she wanted me to follow.

"Hello... how was the trip?" I ask as she continues to pick up speed heading there.

"Pretty good. It was tiring though, you have no idea how many people asked me, 'Where's Mr. Stark'?"

We both laughed, and I was about to say something, but then I heard another car pull up. I turn to see Natasha and Clint come out of the car.

"Natasha!" I yelled first, running to her. Once she heard my voice, a grin appeared on her face as she came over to me as well.

"How's my favorite Maria? I suppose I can't talk to you like that anymore since you're all grown up," she says, as I wrap my arms around her.

"It's only been three months since you last saw me," I say, giggling into her arms. As I let go, I notice Clint a little back behind her.

"Hey, Clint!" I wave, even though he was literally right in front of me.

"Hey Maria," he smiles at me. It felt weird seeing both of them in regular clothes.

"Would you guys like to come inside? I'm sure the others are waiting," Pepper interrupts, I realized she was still waiting for our moment to be done.

"Yeah, sure. Let's head inside," I say, excited to see the other Avengers.
