Maria walked that hallway.
And when I mean walked, I mean strutted.
Whatever had happened last night, it was like her fairy god mother visited her.

Her hair was actually done, not just a poof of a mess. She had a matching two piece of a top and mini skirt, showing just a small inch of her stomach. Oh, and the nails of course, which Monika had a special talent for.

Speaking of the other girls, They were all right besides her. The four walked down the hallway like they ran the school, which, Kelly already practically did.

One could question what had happened to Maria the night before. What made the sweet- yet feisty- girl turn into this. However, all Maria knew was that this new feeling- of control, of changes- made her adrenaline pump.

Stares and whispers came from all around.
"Is-is that Maria?!"
"No way that's Maria... what is she doing with Kelly and all of them?!"
"What happened to her and Peter?!"

However, Maria didn't even pay attention to anything besides the other girls and the hallway in front of her.

Despite being Tony Stark's daughter and Spider-Man's girlfriend- well, or I should say 'ex' girlfriend...

she has never felt like such a bad bitch until now.

I sat and just poked around at my food on my tray. My usual favorite lunch, tater tot casserole, didn't even seem that good. I could hardly bring myself to eat it.

"Hey man, you okay?"

I looked up and saw Ned across from me, with a hint of concern across his face. I felt bad. He had no clue what was going on. I was trapped.
Nobody knew that Maria's mom was the one behind this all from the very beginning!

Well, as far as I knew anyway...

I fainted from shock after she told me she was Maria's mom, and woke up literally IN MY BED. How did they even get me there?! I had no clue. I was now paranoid. I had no clue who could be a spy, what could be watching me, or who could be in on this. All I knew was, if I didn't stay away from Maria, she could be killed... or even worse. And so I did just that... and have been doing that since. I have to figure this out soon and fast.

Back to Ned, I hadn't told him. In fact, he had no clue that Maria and I even broke up. (Which we DIDN'T I just need time to figure this out.)

"I- I am fine. The is food just a little soggy today," I lied to him. He didn't seem to convinced, but let it go. Suddenly, Ashtyn came and sat down next to Ned.

"Hey Ashtyn," Ned said, trying to lighten up the mood. She just nodded and smiled at him, before looking down at her plate. She has been quiet, and still has been acting weird since her and Maria started fighting... or whatever happened. Wait... I squinted at her, but she avoided my eyes. She just looked down at her food and ate. I wonder if she knows anything about Maria. She could even be a part of it! Yes... it makes sense even.

"Hey Ashtyn, do you know-" but I stopped talking suddenly once I fully looked at her. She was staring at something behind me, with her mouth wide open as if she was in shock. I turned around myself and couldn't believe it. A girl I never seen before came into the lunch room.

Wait a damn minute-

That was MARIA. My eyes went wide as she came closer. She looked like a completely different person. Her outfit... her hair... herself was not the Maria I knew. However, that part I didn't even care about. What I cared about was the the thing walking next to her.

Kade. He had his damn flashy smile as he confidently walked next to Maria. I could feel the heat boil inside me as my face got red.

"What the hell is he doing with her?!" I accidentally let out loud. Good thing only Ned and Ashtyn heard me.

"Wait... so you and Maria broke up-"

"NO!" I yelled back at Ned as I instantly turned to him. He looked scared and I backed down.

"I mean, no," I repeated calmer, "we just are... uh... taking a break," I stammered. He looked muddled at my response.

"Uh, I hate to be that person, but it certainly does not look like it-"

"I know Ned! Jeez, will you ever stop?!" I snapped back. Ned gave me a stone cold look of disappointment. I immediately regretted being so rude to him.

"Listen Ned, I-"

"No bro," he slowly shook his head, disappointed, "you listen. I get whatever is going between you and Maria right now is tough, but you can't let it get to you. You needa' figure out whatever your problem is and solve it. Until then, I'll see you around," he stated. I didn't quite understand until he got up from the table.

"Wait Ned-" But it was already too late. He was walking away. I let out a remorseful groan as my head dropped down on the table.

Shit.

Now I'm really by myself.

I could hear giggling far behind me. Even though it was distant, I knew the sweet sound too well to recognize it as Maria's. Probably whatever her new boyfriend said, I grumpily thought to myself as the sound replayed in my mind.

I had no idea what to do now, but I needed to make a move fast, otherwise this might turn out even worse than what I thought.
