PETER
11:33 pm; Friday- Avengers FacilityAwkward. That's the only way I could describe the tenseness delivered throughout the room here in the living room at the Avengers Facility.
Mr. Rhodey and Hawkeye sat across me on the other couch. Thor leaned over them behind the couch. Mr. Rogers paced the room, which Wanda told me he does when he is 'stressed'. Speaking of Wanda, she left with Vision after the fight. They seemed worn out. Dr. Banner wasn't at the fight at all, and I didn't dare ask why at a time like this. Poor Sam and Bucky shared a single seat. They didn't seem to enjoy it. Oh and Natasha? She was trying to speak to Mr. Stark through the clear lab door that was locked.
According to Sam, he was throwing a 'fit'. I remained silent and avoided eye contact as everyone listened in on Natasha's conversation.
"Tony, get out here. You can't lock yourself in there all night."
"Is that a damn challenge? Cause you bet your ass I will!" Natasha, who tried to be calm with him, rolled her eyes and shook her head.
"Peter is sitting right here! Get out here, you're making him uncomfortable!"
"I do not want to see him! I wouldn't be surprised if I come out to see lipstick marks all over him!" I embarrassingly tried ducking my face. Natasha looks apologetic from Mr. Stark's comment.
"Wait... did you really kiss Maria?" Bucky whispered to me like he's been waiting to find out. He was genuinely interested.
"Bucky, not the time, " Sam said before I could even answer. He frowned not satisfied. I went back to listening to the arguing. Nat was being more harsher each second.
"TONY, I SWEAR IF YOU DON'T-"
"ALRIGHT! I AM HERE!" The door whooshed open to reveal a frazzled looking Mr. Stark. He stomped out but didn't completely leave the lab's doorway.
"Are you happy?!" he demanded, opening his arms out sarcastically. Steve stopped pacing and looked straight at him.
"You are being ridiculous. Stop acting like a child about this." Mr. Stark opened his mouth to snap back, but instead caught a glimpse of me. His eyes looked like daggers, and he pointed an angry finger at me.
"You, " he whispers, "you almost got my daughter killed-"
All of a sudden, loud footsteps were heard coming from upstairs, and leading down to our level. That only meant one person- Maria.
Everyone was silent, even her father. She hasn't come down since we got back. She didn't say anything as she headed towards the front entrance.
"And where do you think you're going?" Mr. Stark just had to ask her. She stiffened up and abruptly stopped in her path. She swiveled around.
"I am leaving. Going home, " she said calm.
"You can't just leave! You almost got killed-"
"NO!" she shouted, shocking everyone, including Mr. Stark himself.
"I did not almost get killed! Stop using that as an excuse to take everything out on Peter! If anything, you almost killed him!" She was angry. Very angry. She had tears in her eyes though, too. I noticed she does that, she likes covering up her sadness with anger.
