I looked down at the small cookie in my hand.

Man, did it look delicious.

I munched on it cheerfully, feeling the chocolate chips on my tongue sent joy to my taste buds.

But it all ended as I heard loud stomps march into the kitchen.

"We have pizza ordered in for later! I told you to wait until the food comes to eat the cookies!" Natasha yelled at me, as she grabbed the box of cookies. I guiltily smiled, as I swung on the barstool.

"Well that Bucky guy needs to hurry up!"

When Maria and I first arrived, we thought it was another day of training. But apparently, Mr. Rogers had his one friend, Bucky, coming over from Wakanda where they held him. I fought him back a couple years ago, but I haven't seen him since. Steve was holding sort of a party, as anybody could see because all the Avengers were scattered in the living room, and just Natasha and I now in the kitchen.

"You need to be patient."

And then just like that, we heard a knock on the door. Everybody at the party, which was really only the Avengers, stopped dead silent. Steve walked over to the front door and opened it, to reveal Bucky. He had a long sleeved shirt on, but you could still see the shine of his metal arm. They stared at each other for a few seconds, taking in the view with one another. You could feel tense flying through the air.

"Hey jerk," Mr. Rogers finally broke out softly, with a smile.

"Hey punk," he said back. It was the first time I saw a grin on the man with the shaggy hair's face.

"You know everybody, right?" Mr. Rogers turned out of the way, so Bucky could see everybody.

"I don't think you've met Thor... he's that one," Steve pointed at Thor. Thor just smiled purely and waved at Bucky.

"Oh and that's Peter... he was the spider-thing." I sheepishly smiled, realizing he has never seen me without my mask. Bucky nodded his head in a greeting signal both towards Thor and me.

"I think that's everybody-"

"DAD! WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT-" Maria stomped in and stopped in the realization of what she was between. Mr. Stark snickered at his daughter being embarrassed, while she just stood wide-eyed.

"And this is... well clearly Tony's daughter. Maria," Steve said, while she turned to see the two men standing at the door.

Maria walked over to introduce herself, as she looked up to them both. As I observed Bucky, a tint of guilt hit his face when he heard Steve say 'Tony's daughter.' The thought why made me wonder.

"Hello, Bucky. Steve talks non-stop about you," she bluntly said, as she offered a hand in a shake to Bucky. The Avengers laugh while Steve furrowed his eyebrows at Maria.

"Oh... well hello to you too."

I could have sworn I saw a small smile approach the retired soldier's face at Maria.
