MARIA
5:42 pm; Thursday- WakandaWith guided assistance and help of the fellow Wakanda residents, we were able to make it to Shuri's lab. The throne knew of me here since I have come here before, so it was easy getting through. I mean, I am pretty popular.
The vibranium doors slide open, to reveal the lab I recognized dearly. I smiled as memories of Shuri and I came back.
When I first met Shuri, it was weird because... well, not trying to brag, but she was the first person I ever met with more intelligence than myself. We bonded quickly though, between our smarts, and our humor.
"Wow, this place is crazy. I don't even know what half of this stuff is," Peter commented while looking and picking at some of the lab gear.
"Yeah, be careful. This is the princess's items after all."
A few people were scattered out and about the lab, but eventually started piling out. I knew personally only certain people were allowed in here. I studied some tools I found, made of hundred percent vibranium. It looked like a wrench almost or even a weapon. I tossed it in my hand slightly like a baseball.
This could work... if I could find Shuri.
"Woah, Maria, check out this view!" I turned away from the tool display and walked over to Peter. The straight glass window overlooked all of Wakanda, and also the large sun setting. Warm colors shot in a blend through the sky, creating a beautiful scene with nature.
"Pretty sweet, isn't it?"
I whipped my head to see a huge smiling Shuri walk to us.
"Shuri!" I yelled and ran to give her a hug. She fell back a little from the impact.
"Maria!" she replied, laughing, as we let go.
"It's been some time, hasn't it? I am so glad you decided to visit, but this was quite a short notice. I could have planned something epic for us if I would have known sooner," she states with her accent shining through every syllable. I felt guilty, knowing the fact I wasn't here to actually hang out with Shuri. I was here for the vibranium.
"Well, I-"
"Oh, who is the boy?" she looked past me, at the shrinking Peter. He stepped up though once she noticed him.
"This is my friend, Peter." He looked uncomfortable not knowing how to act. He bowed in action.
"Your Highness-" Shuri burst out in laughter, even holding her stomach from the movement.
"No, no, no. No 'highness.' You may call me Shuri. A friend of Maria's is a friend of mine," she says, once her laughter dies off. Peter just blushed and nodded quickly.
"Anyway," she clapped her hands together, "what is the reason for your arrival?" I cleared my throat, hoping not to sound rude.
"Well, we were wondering if we could possibly borrow some vibranium for our project tomorrow?" I winced as I asked her as if it was difficult to spit out. Her eyes went wide as she processed what I said.
"No, Okoye, we will discuss this later. I have business- Maria?!"
I turn my head to see another recognizable person. He walked through the doors to the lab, in shock of seeing me.
"King T'Challa, what a wonderful surprise," I teased, and he smiled widely. He whispered something to Okoye, not taking his eyes off me. She left him to be, and he walked over to me with his hands held behind his back.
