I was so happy, Finn loves me, I love him. My mum was back, which means I could finally see my siblings again. I woke up next to Finn, which made me 10x happier. I looked down at him, his hair was all over the place, his cheeks were red because of the heat and his lips were slightly parted as he breathed slowly.

His arm was lightly wrapped around my waist and his other arm was under the blanket. My bedroom door opened and Amelia walked in.

"Why is Finn here?" She asked, sitting on my bed.

"Because Finn is my friend again." I said, she nodded.

"Okay. Good because i missed him. I don't hate him anymore." She said, with a really big smile.

Finn started moving, his arm moved off my waist, then he sat up, rubbing his eyes.

"Finnie!" Amelia cheered then launched herself at him, hugging him. "I missed you!"

Finn hugged her back tightly, I smiled at the sight. "I missed you too Amelia."

I joined their little hug, we all stayed hugging for a while until Amelia announced she was hungry.

"We should go to IHOP." Finn suggested, we both agreed.

Finn went home to get ready, and Amelia and I got ready. It was a really warm day, so I put Amelia in a white shirt with a little heart in the corner, and some blue denim shorts with her converse. I put on a black and white short jumpsuit, with my vans. I curled my hair and did my makeup, I put my glasses on instead of contacts.

I heard a knock on the door, so we walked out and seen Finn, he was wearing some blue denim shorts with a white Ralph Loren polo shirt, with his vans too, he looked hot af. He put Amelia's car seat in his car, then we both got in and drove to IHOP.

We sat down, then had a 20 minute debate with Finn who was paying, but it ended up on Finn like it always does, he said he wasn't going to shut up until I let him pay, so I let him.

We ordered food and talked.

"I don't wanna go to school tomorrow." Amelia said as I cut up her sausage.

"You have to go to school so you're clever." I said, she sighed.

"The kids aren't nice to me at school." She said, I furrowed my eyebrows and looked at Finn, he had the same expression.

"Who isn't nice to you?" Finn asked.

"All the bigger kids." She said, I frowned.

"Is Brooklyn one of the bigger kids?" Finn asked, Amelia shook her head no.

"Brooklyn is my friend. She isn't in my grade but when they're nasty to me she tells them to stop and plays with me in the sand." She said with a smile.

We finished breakfast, as Finn gave Amelia tips of how to beat up the bullies if they're mean to her. I tried to tell her that violence isn't the answer and not to hit anybody, but obviously she didn't listen to my words and listened to Finns.

But I don't mind, if they're bullying her, they deserve a slap. We decided to take Amelia to the park because it was on the way back to the house. Finn parked in the car park, then we got out. Amelia instantly ran to the swing set and sat in it.

"Finn! Push me please." Amelia said, Finn ran away from me, to Amelia and started pushing her on the swing.

"Higher higher!!" Amelia said while laughing, Finn pulled her all the way back and jumped to make her go higher, Amelia was laughing her little head off. 

Finn helped Amelia off the swing, then she went to the slide, so Finn and I sat on the bench. I rested my head on his shoulder.

"You smell like vanilla." I told him, I heard him laugh.

"Brooklyn and my mom were making vanilla cookies, then Brooklyn threw some vanilla extract at me, I had to spend like 20 minutes getting it off, that's why I took so long to get back." He said, I laughed.

"I read your song." I told him.

"You did? What did you think of it?" He asked.

"It was emotional, but it was good." I said.

"I was in a band back home." He said. "We were called Calpurnia. But I had to leave to move here."

"What type of band?" I asked, actually interested.

"An indie rock one." He said, I smiled.

"Sounds interesting." I said.

"It was fun, I miss them." He said. "We did performances at parties and stuff."

"Sadie, Grace, Maddie and I always wanted to start a band, but now Maddie is out of the picture, she's a snake." I said, Finn agreed.

"That bitch hit me round the head with a baseball bat!" He said which made me laugh the way he said it. "If she wasn't a girl I'd of done it back to her."

"You should of, its self defence." I said, he laughed.

"Millie I would never ever hit a girl in my life." He said, which was good.

"Well I wouldn't hit a boy for no reason, so I guess we're equal." I said, he nodded.

I finally gathered the courage to ask him something I've been wanting to ask him now we're alone. "What are we?" I asked.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"Like, you told me you loved me, I told you I loved you back.. are we together? Are we friends? I don't get it." I said, he shrugged. "Do you want to be with me?"

"Answer that yourself. Would I tell someone I loved them if I didn't want to be with them?" He asked, I shook my head no. "Exactly, there is your answer."

"But that doesn't answer the what are we question." I said.

"Well I wanna be with you, but I aren't gonna ask you to be my girlfriend on a park bench, so.." he said as he played with my fingers.

"But if we dated, it's like a big thing because I have Amelia-" he cut me off.

"Here we go again with you talking about how it's bad that you have Amelia. Mills, I don't care if you have Amelia. I love the girl, okay?" He reassured, I nodded with a smile.

"Your a good person, Finn." I said.

"I try my best." He said.

"Your dad would be proud." I replied, looking at him.

"You think so?" He asked.

"I know so." I smiled, kissing his cheek.
