(Jen's POV)

"So, who are you anyways?" A girl's voice asked from behind me.

I turned around to see three girls, who were about my age, staring at me.

"I asked you a question." The same voice asked. I turned and faced a girl who had written "Austin's baby girl" on her arm. Creepy.

I just shrugged at her. The girls rolled their eyes and walked away. If I knew how to do one thing, it was making people leave me alone.

"We have one more song before we hand this over to Of Mice. This one's for you, Jen." Vic yelled into the mic. I smiled at the shoutout as the guys began to play Hold on Til May.

I made my way backstage to wish the guys good luck.

I ran over to Austin and hugged him tightly.

"Do great." I chuckled as he held me.

Austin bent down and kissed my forehead. I made my way over to Phil, hugging him as well.

"We'll make ya proud, Jenny." Phil said, high fiving me. He gave Austin a wink. I was confused, but I didn't question them. Yet.

I went in to hug Alan, but instead he wrapped his arms around my waist tightly and lifted me off the ground. I was used to Alan picking me up, but I wasn't prepared for what was about to happen.

"Alright guys! You've been amazing!" I heard Vic call out to the crowd.

"Alan! Put me down, you're going on soon!" I laughed.

"Who's ready for Of Mice and Men?" Vic yelled.

PTV shouted their goodbyes to the crowd, before running backstage.

"Guys, what's going on?" I asked, still giggling like an idiot.

The guys began to run out on stage. Alan swung my legs over and carried me on his back. I threw my arms around his neck, my heart beginning to beat faster.

Alan ran out into the blinding light, the deafening roar of the audience filling my ears.

"So, you guys are probably wondering who Alan is carrying." Austin yelled.

Alan set me down, but kept an arm around my shoulders.

The crowd quieted down, waiting for an explanation.

"This is Jen. We've been with her for the past week or so, and I'm actually in the process of adopting her." A few cheers erupted from the crowd, as I felt a smile creep on my face.

"We love her to bits, and we know you all will too. And now, the lovely Jen, will pick our first song for us." Austin said, gesturing to me.

I left Alan's side, and made my way over to where Austin was standing. He handed me the mic.

"I choose the Great Hendowski!" I yelled into the microphone.

Immediately, the guys launched into the song. I sat on an amp, listening to them play. Hearing them was an escape.

The song finished, and the crowd was jumping and screaming.

Aaron ran up and hugged me from behind as the crowd began cheering.

Apparently, they didn't hate me as much as I thought they would.

-----------------------------------------

(Austin's POV)

As we finished the song, I glanced over at Jen, who was smiling from ear to ear as she sat on the amp. I motioned her over to me and draped an arm around her.

"Jen, thanks for picking our song for us! Go backstage so Pierce can hug you to death."

Jen gave all of us one last hug before running off.

The rest of the concert went very smoothly, nothing over the top happening. But it wasn't until everyone started leaving, that things began to get heated. I heard the voices of fangirls as everyone began to make their way out of the venue.

"Why would they pick her to adopt?"

"I saw her standing in the crowd earlier looking bored. She doesn't deserve them."

"It's a publicity stunt. They'll show her off for a few months then dump her. Just watch."

"She's not even that pretty. Slut."

Anger began to bubble up inside of me. How could my own fans be so hateful? We do the best we can to help them through their hard times, and all they do is attack the people that matter; wives, girlfriends, family. It broke my heart.

Jen didn't seem to hear any of it, and if she did, she didn't seem to care. She was sitting with Mike and Aaron, laughing like she just heard the funniest joke in the world. The guys were laughing just as hard. My anger began to settle.

When she saw me, she waved to Mike and Aaron and ran over. I couldn't resist pulling her into a tight hug.

"They don't hate me as much as I thought they would." She said through her laughs.

"How could anyone?" I said, pulling away from the hug, feeling slightly guilty.

Her eyes lit up and she smiled, exposing her braces. I pushed a piece of hair behind her ear.

There was nothing I wanted more, than to change her name to Jennifer Dawn Carlile.

OKAY THIS FRIEND OF MINE PROOFREADS THIS FOR ME, AND SHE SAID THAT THE LAST PART UP THERE MADE IT SOUND LIKE INCEST. IT'S NOT K.

School has started again for me, so updates may not come as often. But they WILL come!
