(Jen's POV)

The cold wind blew against my cheeks. Alan, Austin and I had decided to spend the day outside. We had gone to a park, bought some coffee from a small shop, and just sat around talking.

"Oh my God! Austin Carlile and Alan Ashby!" A high pitched voice screamed.

"I love you guys! You saved my life, for real!" Another voice screeched.

I had no intent on listening to the crying and screaming, so I began walking towards the playground.

I glanced back at Austin and Alan, who were now trying to calm the fans down. Austin's eyes locked with mine.

"Sorry." He mouthed to me.

I shrugged and smiled.

"Don't worry about it." I mouthed back.

I walked a little more ways, approaching a bench. Just before I sat down, I felt a hand grip my arm.

I whipped around, and I felt my heart drop to my stomach.

Mom.

I turned my head to find Austin and Alan. They were still with the fangirls.

"How are you, baby?" She said with an evil smile. It sounded like she had something in her mouth.

"How did you find me?" I asked, feeling my heart pound.

"It's not that difficult. Google your name, you'll see." She sneered. She never opened her mouth all the way, keeping her teeth gritted. Something was up.

"Get away." I hissed, feeling a sudden rise in confidence.

Her lips curled into another ugly smile, revealing a razor blade wedged between her rotting teeth. My eyes widened.

"Austin!" I screamed at the last minute, before the sharp blade cut into my cheek.

(Austin's POV)

"Austin!" I heard Jen scream. I turned my head, and froze.

Her mother was lunging at her. Blood leaked out of Jen's face.

I ran away from the fans towards Jen, who now had a cut in her cheek and neck. Blood was pouring out of the slits, dripping onto her jacket and the ground. Drops of blood contrasted against the snow. I got to Jen right after her mother made another cut in her shoulder.

I pulled the monster off of her, keeping a tight grip on her arms while Alan called the police. Jen just laid on the ground, silent tears rolling down her cheeks. Her mother spit something out of her mouth; a bloody razor blade.

Other people had started to notice what was going on. The girls that had just talked to us were staring at the scene in awe.

Alan hung up the phone. He made his way towards where I was holding her mother, his knuckles white.

"If you ever touch that sweet girl again, I'll kill you." He hissed through gritted teeth. Jen's mom just smiled, and spit right in his face. But Alan didn't even flinch.

The police finally arrived, and hauled off the poor excuse of a human being that was Jen's mother.

Speaking of Jen-

I walked over to where she was now struggling to stand. She had a tissue pressed on the cut in her neck.

Blood continued to leak out of the slits, staining her hands. She looked terrified and vulnerable.
