(Jen's POV)

I was siting on the couch in front of the TV, playing some shooter game with Phil. And somehow, I was winning.

"How am I even winning? I didn't even have a TV set." I muttered, just loud enough so he could hear it. He gave a small throat laugh.

I shot my "gun", and the bullet went through Phil's character's head. I just won.

"HOW?!?" He yelled, throwing his hands in the air, dropping the controller.

"No one's ever beaten Phil before!" I heard Alan's voice call from somewhere. Suddenly, I felt arms wrap around my waist from behind. I felt whoever it was lift me off the ground and spin me in circles. I couldn't help but giggle as I was set back down on the ground. I turned and faced my attacker: Alan.

"She actually laughs!" He yelled, tickling me. I began dying of laughter, and he just laughed along with me like it was the funniest thing in the world. He planted a sloppy kiss on my cheek. It was my first day with the guys, and they were already getting very lovey-dovey. Not that I minded it at all, however.

Suddenly, the door burst in, and four guys walked in. Three of them were covered in tattoos. One had a piercing in his lip, another had spiky hair and a cheeky smile. One of them was quieter than the rest. He had huge stretches in his earlobes, and his shirt was covered in cartoon turtles. The shortest one had no tattoos, but he did have a nose ring.

"Hola mis amigos!" The one with the spiky hair yelled. He turned his eyes, and looked at me, flashing a smile. "Is this her?"

I nervously ran a hand through my hair, feeling everyone's gaze shift to me.

Austin quickly put a protective hand on my shoulder, noticing how nervous I had become.

"Yeah. Guys, this is Jen. We uhh..." He struggled to find the right words. "We found her, yesterday. She was alone on a street, so we took her in. I'm trying to adopt her, actually." He had a look of sorrow in his eyes, but a smile on his lips when he mentioned the adoption. Maybe he didn't hate me after all...

"She's in the family now!" One of the new guys yelled, wrapping his arms around my shoulder. I awkwardly squeezed him back, smiling.

"I'm Mike." He said, shaking my hand after the hug.

I met the other guys, The tattoo-less one, Vic. The one with spiky hair, Jaime. And the turtle lover, Tony. They all seemed nice enough.

"Here." Vic said, handing me a shirt with "Pierce the Veil" written across the front.

At first, I was confused. But Vic quickly explained.

"We heard that you were here and brought you a little welcome present." He said cheekily.

I took the shirt, and went into the bathroom and changed. I still had to deal with the horribly oversized basketball shorts, but the shirt was better than nothing.

"What do you mean you've never seen Star Wars?!? Every kid has!" Tony yelled with a smile, I sat on the couch, giggling. I could feel my braces scrape my lips.

"It's not like I had a TV or anything." I said, still giggling.

Tony's face fell and he rubbed his neck.

"God, I'm an idiot. I'm so sorry, Jen." He said quietly.

"It's alright." I reassured him, still laughing.

Tony and I were alone on the bus. The others had gone out to get coffee.

Tony paced awkwardly, his hands in his pockets.
