Hey, you guys!
I'm just gonna get straight to the point here. Because we just reached a turning point in this story, it'll be on hiatus for a little bit. I need to come up with new adventures for Jen and Austin. Or, who knows? Maybe I won't get any new ideas and Jen will finally get to meet Bethany from my other story...
Only time will tell ;)
Until then, here's a joke for you guys, because I imagine some of you are angry at me (is it bad that I love making awful things happen in my stories because I love your reactions? I love seeing comments like "OH MY GOD I HATE YOU" and "GRACE, WHAT THE FUCK?" I hear them all the time in person from my friend Jessie, who reads these stories. It makes me laugh.)
OK, now on with the joke.
"So there's this man named Will, driving his SUV in the desert. His SUV breaks down, and he's stranded in the hot desert. He decides that his best option is walking until he finds a town or something that can help him. So he gets out of his broken car and starts walking. He walks the entire day and doesn't find anything. He's beginning to lose hope. He run out of water a little bit earlier and is starting to feel the symptoms of dehydration. He doesn't sleep through the night because he's so thirsty and feel so bad. He wakes up the next morning and feels awful. It feels like his mouth and throat are coated with sand and he can't move. He tries to accept the fact that he'll soon be dead. He hears a little voice next to him say, "hello!" He raises up his head expecting to find people, but instead he finds a rattlesnake. Well thinks he is losing his mind but just goes with it. "Hello," Will says back. "Can you help me," he asks the snake. The snake says, "sure let me take you back to my house. My name is Nate, by the way." So Nate's takes will back to his house and will is really confused. Nate's house doesn't look like a normal house, but because Nate is helping him he doesn't say anything. Nate the snake gives Will water and nurses Will back to health. Nate goes to fix Will's car and on their way out, Will notices a little lever outside of Nate's house. He asks Nate what the lever is for, and Nate becomes very defensive. "You must never touch that lever, for the entire world will end," Nate says. Will nods and agrees not to touch the lever. Once his car is fixed, Will drives back to town and meets a woman. He in the woman fall in love and have children. One day, Will is at the zoo with his children in the reptile house. He sees a snake and wonders what happened to Nate, who saved his life all those years ago. He decides to load up his SUV and goes to the desert to look for Nate. Once he nears Nate house, he discovers that his brakes are broken. He sees Nate sitting outside, only a few feet from the lever that will end the world. Because his brakes are broken, Will cannot stop the car and must choose between killing Nate, saved his life, or breaking the lever and possibly ending the world. Will wrestles with what to do, but eventually comes to a decision. Will says, "better Nate than lever" and swerves the car towards Nate and kills him. The end."
Also, as usual, I've attached a song that I'm loving right now, It Pulls Me Under by Butterfly Boucher. I'm addicted.
Thanks for being awesome and patient!
I'll see you after this indefinite hiatus!
