*Buzz*

Ally's phone woke her up. It was a text, ID: Gerard. A smile spread across her face, followed by a nervous feeling in her gut. All she could think about was what happened last night- Gerard kissed her, but only on the cheek, and she liked it. But it was like she was waiting for him to actually kiss her. The text read,

"Up for doing something today?"

She replied with, "Sure. When, where?"

She waited for about two minutes until he responded with, "I'll pick you up in a few. Dunno where, anywhere I guess."

She jumped out of  bed and scrambled to get some jeans and a sky blue T-shirt on. When she got down stairs, she grabbed  a piece of toast and waited up in her room at her window. Within a few minutes, his car pulled in. Her face lit up.

*Knock knock*

Her mom came to answer the door. "Hello, here for Ally?" She asked.

He leaned against the door frame and ran his hand through his hair. "Yep. Is she up?"

"Yes. Ally!" Her mom called.

"Coming!" Ally said as she ran down the stairs. She rounded the corner and his face lit up at the sight of her.

"Hey Ally!" He said with a smile. "Ready?"

"Yep!" She replied. "See ya later, Mom." With that they left.

When they got in the car, he switched the song from Nirvana to Green day for her. The engine started, and he pulled out onto the road. The car was silent for a few minutes. She mouthed the words to the song, which made Gerard smile.

Before she knew it, they were at the pond. She figured that was where they were going. Once again, down the same path as before, and this time it wasn't raining, so they just sat in the shade of the tree above them. They sat right across from each other a couple feet.

"So do you feel better?" He asked.

"Yeah." She replied. "Look, I wanted to say thank you for helping me."

"No problem. Remember, I'm always here for you." He said with a smile and grabbing he hand.

A small smile appeared on her face. The wind blew a warm summer breeze over the water. Birds nearby chirped and the branches hanging low brushed against their faces. It seemed to get more beautiful every time they went there.

"It was never this amazing when I'd come here by myself." She thought to herself, she looked over at Gerard, his hair blew across his face and his eyes were fixed on the view i front of him. "There's just something about him, everything is better when he's around."
