The song....
~Gerard's POV~
So long, and goodnight. So long and goodnight.
As we said our goodbyes, we parted ways. We won't be seeing much of each other anymore now that My Chemical Romance is done. I decided to go back to Jersey, and visit Ally. It's been awhile, although every time we toured there I dropped my the cemetery.
I drove down the streets to Green Day; Ally's favorite band, Wake Me Up When September Ends was playing as the sunset breeze blew through my open window. I ran my hands through my cherry red hair as the wind messed it up, also fixing my sunglasses.
Up ahead, was the turn I used to make to get to Ally's house, the corners of my lips turned up. "It couldn't hurt." I said, making the turn.
I pulled up in front of Ally's house. I stepped out, and after locking my car, I made my way to the front door, brushing some dirt off of my black leather jacket. I came to a halt, I was close enough to knock on the door from where I was, but I hesitated as I looked to the ground, tightly closing my eyes.
Every time we laughed and smiled, and everything we did together, flashed through my head. The first time I kissed her. Every time I hugged her, or held her hand. When I wrote my number on her hand, and she wrote her's on mine, when I took her to the beach, every time we went to the pond together, and everything.
Also, every time she cried, and I held her in my arms, every hopeless feeling, and all the tears that I wiped away. But she also did that for me.
I opened my eyes ans smiled, my gaze still fixed on the ground. I could remember her smile, and I always could. I could remember all we did together, and I always would. I looked up and knocked on the door.
In a few moments, the door was opened. A young lady stood in the doorway, with wavy blonde hair and bright blue eyes, she was wearing skinny jeans that went well with her Green Day bracelet, she also had a tee with different band logos on it. Including,
Green Day, All Time Low, Avenge The Sevenfold, Paramore, Black Veil Brides, Pierce The Veil, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, Sleeping With Sirens, and My Chemical Romance. It looked homemade.
I was going to leave, figuring Ally's family had moved.
My face lit up as I figured out who it was. "C-Crystal?" I said, taking my sunglasses off.
Her eyes widened as she realized who it was. "Oh my God." She said. "Mom."
She came up to me, I met her halfway for a hug. She wrapped her arms around the back of my neck.
When she broke the hug, she examined me, with a bright smile. "Gerard! You're... Here."
"Yeah." I said, returning the smile. "I thought I'd visit."
"C'mon in." She said, guiding me through the familiar living room to the dining room table. The house hadn't changed a bit.
"Who's at the door sweetie?" Her mom asked. "Oh." She covered her mouth, put whatever she was doing down, and came over to me for a hug, which I returned. "It's you. You hardly look any different!"
I gave a laugh as I broke the hug. "Hi. I dunno if I can say the same for Crystal!" I said, going to her and putting a hand on each of her shoulders. I then noticed a ring on her left ring finger. "Are you married?"
She looked down at her ring with a smile. "No, but I will be soon!" She cheerfully replied. I hugged her once again.
"The last time I saw you, you were still head level below my waist." I said, patting her on the head.
She giggled.
"Would you like to stay for dinner?" Her mom asked with a kind smile.
"No thank you, I should get going." I answered.
Crystal gave me another hug. "Thank you for stopping by Gerard." She said. "You're welcome to come anytime."
I kissed her forehead. "Thank you. Goodbye!" I said as she shut the door and waved. I got into my car, took one last look at Ally's house, and drove off.

I walked through the graveyard, through the short green grass, until I came to Ally's grave.

Here lies Ally Katelyn Shores

I sat down in front of it. "Hey Ally." I said. "I still miss you, I always will though." My eyes started to water as I laid the flowers I had brought down. "I kept all the voice messages you left me." I picked up my phone and listened to one. It was from when she was looking for me, when I was at the graveyard.
"Gerard." She said, her voice sounded fuzzy because it was over the phone, I could tell she was worried. "Gerard can you please just tell me where you are? I'm really worried." She kept pausing, I heard crying. "Please, just call me back okay? Bye."
I was at the graveyard, sitting my my Grandma's grave. I sat there in silence for hours, remembering her, and how much she helped me, she's one of the reasons I am where I am today, she taught me how to sing. I remembered when I heard Ally crying outside the gates, and I went to her, and brought her into my arms as tears poured down her pale cheeks.
The next message was one I sometimes played over and over again.
"Hey Gerard." She said in a cheery voice. "You aren't answering your phone, so I'm leaving you a message, we're good for tomorrow, Um... Thanks for taking me to the pond and all. So um, see ya, bye. I love you."
A smile spread across my face as a tear rolled down it and fell onto the soil. "I love you too Ally." I said. "I think of you a lot." I stood up and brushed myself off. "And I'll be sure to never ever forget about you. Goodbye, I love you." And with that, I left, making my way back to my car.
*****
"Daddy!"
"Bandit!" I said, bringing her into my arms. "I missed you!"
"I missed you too daddy." She replied, wrapping her little arms around the back of my neck.
I my very own family now. But sometime I'd cry over Ally, but that's alright. Because,
It's okay to be scared
It's okay to be angry
It's okay to be in pain
It's okay to grow up, and
It's okay to say goodbye.
The End.
