~Ally's POV~
It was just now noon, and I spent the whole morning looking for Gerard. Mikey said he came home late last night, after everyone was asleep, but when he woke up, Gerard was gone again. Neither of us knew where he was, and I got more and more worried by minutes. And on top of that, my grandma was taken to the hospital last night.
Could it be any worse?
I tried calling Gerard several times, and left him message after message, but he never replied. A warm summer breeze blew against my face, and usually I'd enjoy it, but not now, nothing was the same without Gerard. I hope he's okay.
*Buzz*
My phone went off, caller ID: Mom.
"Hello?" I answered it with. I heard heavy breathing, like she was crying. "Mom?"
"Ally, it's grandma." She croaked. My eyes widened as my heart sank. "She left us early this morning."
I froze up, and said nothing as I took the phone off my ear. I heard my mom asking if I was still there, before hanging up.
~Flash back~
"Okay Ally." My grandma said, handing me a crayon and paper. We sat at her small wooden table. "Draw something."
I tapped the crayon against my head as I thought. I was five or six at the time. "What should I draw, Grammy?"
"Anything you want!" She said with a smile, pushing her glasses up a bit. "Anything at all, that little head of yours has so many great ideas, and you don't even know it yet! Someday you'll be doing this with your granddaughter, and it will make you so happy, like it's making me. Art is anything and everything, whatever you can think of, you can put on that little page. Something as small as an ant, or as big as a mountain! Art is a way of expressing yourself Ally, art is anything, and everything."
I quickly began drawing something, my gaze was fixed upon the white page, showing focus.
"What do you think?" I asked, showing her a picture of snow flakes falling.
"It's beautiful!" She said, putting a hand to her cheek in excitement. "So wonderful, you're an artist Ally."
~End flash back~
I was so close to her, and now she's gone. I hid in my hoody as I walked with my hands in my pockets. I stopped where I was; outside a graveyard, and realized I still hadn't found Gerard. No one was there for me now, not like he could be. And I also felt guilty about him, it was my fault.
Tears flooded my eyes.
"Ally?" I heard a distant voice call. It was in the direction of the graveyard. Footsteps came closer, and I saw who it was; Gerard.
He came over to me, and held me in his arms as I cried into his chest. He obviously heard crying, and saw that it was me.
"Ally, what is it?" He asked, worry was in his voice. "A-are you okay?"
I shook my head. "No, I'm not. My grandma was taken to the hospital last night, and this morning...." I didn't need to say anymore, he hugged my tighter, knowing what I was going to say next.
"I'm so sorry, for everything." He said, his voice slightly cracking. "Here, I'll take you home. You should rest and I'll make sure that you get what you need." He guided me to his car.
I sat in the passenger seat after he opened the door for me. Rain fell on the windshield as we drove down the vacant foggy streets.
The ride was silent, not even music played. He glanced over at me every few minuets, I never met his gaze.
We finally pulled into my driveway and he ran around to get my door. He opened it and held out a hand for me to take, I could tell he was going to, but decided not to bring me in for hug like he usually would. We walked side-by-side to my front door, I relied on him just to stand. He put an arm around me, knowing I could hardly stand up.
*Knock knock*
...No one answered it, I guess they were all gone right now, I reached into my pocket and grabbed my spare key, handing it to him, Gerard opened the door. He helped me to the couch, I laid down, my tear stained face had tears still rolling down it.
He rummaged through some things, and brought me a cup of hot chocolate, sitting on the ground next to me.
"Where were you?" I weakly muttered, excepting the drink.
"At the graveyard, all day." He replied. "Sitting by my grandma's grave." A tear rolled down my face as I remembered his loss. "It's okay." He said, wiping it off. "I was also at the pond last night, I saw you there, crying. I...I'm sorry I didn't go to you, I saw you, all alone, and crying." His voice began to crack.
"It's okay." I replied, tucking some of his hair behind his ear. "I'm alright now, we're alright now."
He kissed me on the forehead as he tightly shut his eyes. "I'm here for you Ally. Don't forget it." He sat down.
I put my legs across his lap. It wasn't a very big couch, so there wasn't room for me to lay down and him sit there unless I did. He didn't seem to mind though.
"So, I'd assume you told Mikey about... Us?" He asked.
I nodded. "I hope he's okay though."
"He'll be fine. I'm more worried about you." He said, fixing his gaze on me. "I know what this kinda thing's like, are you gonna be okay?"
"I'll be fine, thank you Gerard." I said as he turned on the TV. "As long as you're here."
