listen to the song over, and over and over and over again! (I know I do Summertime a lot.)

~Ally's POV~

Gerard was coming over today and I couldn't wait. He seemed more forward with me about how he felt. It was nice because that meant I could be too.

*Buzz*

My phone went off, it was a text from Gerard. It read,

"Be there in a sec, make sure you eat something, Ally. Oh, and wear shorts."

I furrowed my eye brows at that last part "wear shorts"?  I replied with, "okay, cya in a min. :)"

I tossed my skinny jeans to the side and found a pare of dark blue shirts, they weren't super short though, I wasn't much for that. I also put on my converse and of course the bracelet Mikey gave me. I put some lip gloss on and threw on a plain white tee.

"Okay then." I said to myself looking in the mirror. "All ready."

I sat on my bed and picked up my pencil, doing some finishing touches on a drawing I'd been working on. I heard a car door open in my driveway-Gerard was here!

I closed my art book and ran down the stairs to get the door, even thought my mom, who was down there could have gotten it, I did anyway.

"Hey, Ally." He greeted me with his rather dashing smile. "Ready to go?"

"Yup!" I replied returning the smile. "We're leaving now mom, be back later, bye!"

She waved from the dining room table. "Bye honey, have fun you two." She said.

We got into his car and he revved up the sweet sounding engine. His car smelled like coffee, which wasn't a bad thing, I liked it. He smelled like coffee too.

"Feeling better?" He asked, looking at me between glances of the road.

I nodded. "Yeah. I wanted to thank you for coming and visiting me when I was sick in the hospital and all."

"No need to thank me Ally." He replied. "I wanted to, you shouldn't have to be alone."

"I think I remember hearing you voice." I explained. "You were singing to me, I think?"

"Uh, yeah, I was." He answered, scratching the back of his head.

"What did you sing?"

"It's called the world is ugly. I wrote it for you."

My eyes widened as I turned and fixed my gaze upon him. "You wrote a song? And for me?!"

"Yeah, why not?" He laughed. "Did you like it?"

I nodded. "From what I remember, it was nothing short of amazing. You have a really good voice, Gerard, thank you."

I could tell he was trying not to blush as he flipped some of his jet black hair out of his face.

I placed my hand on the small black surface between us, and he laid a hand on top of it. His soft hand rested on top of my pale, and rather dry hand. I always thought that that's why nobody held my hand-they were all gross and dry. The only people who did, beside family, were Frankie and Gerard.

They didn't care how I looked, it didn't matter to them, no matter how pathetic I was they cared about me. And they didn't give up on me, ever.

I opened my eyes, and we were near the ocean. I had fallen asleep.

"You're awake!" Gerard said with a smile.
