The song....

~Gerard's POV~

I was really excited to go canoeing with Ally today. I went to the kitchen and my mom gave me some pancakes, yum. After finishing, I wanted to hurry up and get ready. I threw on a Green Day tee and my yellow converse, jeans of course as well. Grabbed my keys, and before I opened the door, my phone went off. Caller ID: Frank.

"Hey." I answered with.

"Gerard you absolutely need to get down here." He said. He was in a  panic.

"D-down where?" I asked, starting to worry.

"The hospital." He quickly replied. "It's Ally. And this time, it's for real."

I froze up and dropped my phone and almost broke it.

"Gerard?" My mom asked. "Why did you do that? Gerard?"

I couldn't speak or even move. It's not like last time, she's really going to die this time.

Cars past me and my heart raced at the thought of Ally being up there, dying. What if I didn't get up there in time? Thoughts like this crowded my head as I sped up. It seemed as though my thoughts were slowing me down, but I couldn't stop thinking about it.

I finally reached the lobby and was pointed to room 221. I raced past visitors, doctors and nurses, running as fast as my feet would carry me. I almost fell over a few time even. It felt like the floor was moving against me like a treadmill, like I wasn't getting anywhere. Or my feet were glued to the floor.

I finally came to a screeching halt in front of room 221; The room where Ally lay, hooked up to machines, so near death. I took a deep breath before putting my hand on the cold silver knob...
