Carry On This Way (A Gerard Way Fanfiction)

Chapter 17

Gerard pulled into her driveway and let her out before pulling back out onto the road. He didn't  get out, but he waved to her with a smile. She went to knock on the door, and was so happy about what Gerard said to her, that she was ready for whatever was going to happen when she walked through that door. 

"Ally!" Her mom said as she opened the door and hugged her. "Where were you?" 

"I went to make sure Gerard was okay." Ally replied, breaking the hug. "I fell asleep at his table otherwise I would've been home last night. Where's dad?" She stepped inside. 

"He's at work. I have to go to the store, and I'm taking the kids with me, okay?" Her mom said, grabbing her purse and fishing out the keys. "Come one Kenny and Crystal!" 

The two came running down the stairs sounding like a herd of elephants. 

"By, mom." Ally said as she closed and locked the door. 

She went up to her room, grabbed her art book and started drawing. She enjoyed drawing, and she wasn't half bad at it either. That's usually what she did in her spare time.

"There we go." She said as she took he shading tool over it. She looked up at the clock, 

12:20pm 

 Time flies, then she heard a knock on the door.  

She went down the stairs to answer it. 

"Hey Gerard!" She said as she saw who it was. "What's up." She leaned against the door frame. 

"Just thought we could do something." He said, casually running his hands though his hair. 

"I can't, my mom would kill me if I left the house when she's gone without asking her before she left." She explained. 

"Aw." He jokingly wined. 

"I guess you could come in though, I don't think she's have a problem with that." She said, holding out an arm, letting him by. 

"So, what do you wanna do?" He asked, putting his hands in his pocket and flipping a small piece of hair out of his face. 

"Hungry?" She asked.  He nodded. 

She went into the kitchen and looked through the fridge. He sat at the table. 

"Here you go." She said, handing him a small smoothie in a plastic bottle, and sitting down with the corner of the table between them. She opened her's. 

"Thanks." He said, taking a sip. "I wanted to thank you for coming by last night and apologizing for you dad. You didn't need to y'know." 

"I know, but I wanted to make sure you were alright. I mean, that's what you do for someone you love, right?" 

His head shot up, and he paused for a moment. The corner of his lips turned up as he looked down to the floor. "Yeah, I suppose." 

"I mean...Like, well. I uh." She stammered, scratching her head. 

 He lightly laughed, and met the gaze of her icy blue eyes. He stared. 

"What?" She asked. 

"You." He smiled. "You."
