After Gerard hung up, Ally jumped in the air with joy! She ran over to her closet and found her favorite skinny jeans, a black hooded sweatshirt and a blue V-neck. After grabbing something to eat, she waited.
In about five minutes, a shiny mustang pulled up to her house. Her face lit up as she looked out of her window and saw him. He got out of the car, and went to the door.
*Knock Knock*
"Coming!" Ally said, running down the stairs.
She opened the door, and Gerard greeted her with a big smile. "Hey, Ally!"
"Hi, Gerard." She said, returning the smile. "Mom, I'm going now!" And with that, they went to his car and pulled out of the driveway.
"How are you doing?" Gerard asked.
"I'm okay." Ally replied. "And you?"
"Same here, now."
"What do you mean by 'now'?" She asked, using air quotes on 'now'.
"Yeah, I had trouble with stuff too." He said, running his hands through his messy hair. "I mean, when you have a friend that makes you happy, and their parents tell them that they can't be around you anymore, it sucks. It was probably worse for you, but still, it was tough."
She was silent for a moment, just staring at him. He turned and met her gaze with a smirk, leaned on his windowsill and played with his hair. "What?" He asked.
"Nothing, it's just, you said that I make you happy?" She asked, slightly tiling her head.
"Yeah, and you're staring at me because...?" He asked, still with a slight smile.
"It's just nice to hear, that's all." She explained, looking down at her lap.
A full on smile spread across his face as he glanced at her. She played with a loose string on her sweater.
"So Al," he said, "Frank told me you wanted one of those 'wig things'? But, your mom and dad couldn't afford it. Right?" He asked, using air quotes on 'wig things'.
"Yeah, it's stupid thought."
"No its not. I would want something. I mean, there's nothing wrong with the way you are, but if you want to have something like that, it's definitely not stupid."
"Thanks."

Pulling into the parking lot of Amelia Pond, they parked and got out. They followed the same path as before and sat down with the same great view and quietness.
"So, I have something for you, Ally." Gerard said, reaching into the red backpack he had brought.
She looked at him with curiosity in her eyes.
"Close your eyes." He said with a smile.
She tightly closed her eyes and heard him sit down right next to her.
"Alright, open." He said.
She opened her eyes to see a cherry red wig in his hands. She gasped and covered her mouth in excitement.
"You did not!" She said.
"I did." He said with a smile. "What do you think?"
"I love it! I definitely, love it."
"You wanna try it on?"
She nodded.
He helped her put it on, and pulled a small mirror out of his bag. She couldn't believe it.
