Ally's parents and her doctors decided that she should stay in the hospital until her fever was gone. That way she'd be getting what she needed when she needed it. She would get better faster this way.
Gerard left his house to visit her first thing in the morning. He threw on a pare of ripped up jeans, a Nirvana tee and of course converse and his jean jacket. He didn't, however, wear his sunglasses. It was foggy and rather cloudy outside, so he didn't really need them.
Down the vacant roads he drove, to the sound of one of Ally's favorite songs-Green Day's 21 Guns. He finally arrived at the hospital and made his way to room 109. He was calmer this time, he knew she was fine, unlike last time. All that was running through his head yesterday, was the nightmares he had been having. And how they all ended-her death.
But this time, his heart wasn't pounding with the fear of losing her, he wasn't rushing past nurses and doctors. He slowly opened her door, and was greeted with a smile, from Ally's mom. She seemed to have lightened up about Gerard since she actually met him.
"She's asleep." Her mom whispered. "She was up most the night, feeling sick."
"Oh, that would suck." Gerard said as he pulled up a chair next to Ally.
"Where are you going?" Ally moaned. Gerard and her mom's heads shot up, she was still asleep. Once again, sweat broke on her forehead. "Where are you going...... Gerard?"
"She's probably having bad dream." Her mom said. "She's been doing that a lot, saying something about you, I don't know what she's dreaming about though."
"S-stay." Ally croaked. "Please, I'm scared again, you can't leave me."
"I'm right here, Ally." Gerard said, grabbing her hand. "You don't have to be scared, I'm not leaving."
"S-stay, don't leave me." She whispered.
"These are the eyes and the lies of the taken." He softly sang.
"These are their hearts but their hearts don’t beat like ours
"They burn ‘cause they are all afraid.
"For every one of us, there’s an army of them
"But you’ll never fight alone "Cause I wanted you to know
"That the world is ugly
But you’re beautiful to me" He wiped her forehead with his sleeve. Her mom sat on the other side of the room, staring at him. Gerard slowly met her gaze. He had completely forgotten she was in the room. Ally stopped tossing and turning and seemed to have calmed down.
"I didn't know you sang, Gerard." Her mom said, slightly tilting her head.
"My grandma taught me."He explained. "But it's not really anything, Ally gave me a song book, so I decided to write a few things down."
Her mom parted her lips to say something, but she was interrupted by a phone call. Caller ID: Harry. "It's my husband, I have to take this." She left the room saying.
"I hope you like the song, Ally." Gerard quietly said after her mom left the room. "I wrote it for you."
"I have to go, Harry needs to get to work and I have to go and watch the kids now." Her mom explained as she walked back into the room. "Bye, Gerard, how long are you staying?"
"I'm not leaving for awhile." He replied. "She shouldn't be all alone anyways."
The corner of her lips turned up. "Okay, bye."
