Claudia
We arrived at the same house I was in just yesterday when I was re-introduced to my family, now it was because my sociopathic husband was putting everyone I loved in danger because I had his family and I wasn't prepared to let them go any time soon.
I didn't bother to walk carefully and slowly towards the front door because I knew that no-one would dare to shoot me. I was still the Queen.
Instead, I made sure to dress to impress. I wasn't going to die looking like a fashion fail. I wore my most expensive leather black heel boots, black jeans and a long sleeve black shirt with my hair in a tight high pony.
Blade seemed to be the one on guard, making sure to look around us while we walked up towards the door, and I made sure to stare at the door, waiting for anything that will pose as a danger to me so that I could shoot it down.
We stopped in front of the big door and I placed my hand on the door knob, but waited for Blade to affirm the clear coast before going in. I noticed that the big cross which was there was now removed. It was on the floor, shattered into pieces.
I bit my tongue, hoping that the gesture would prevent me from screaming out from the top of my lungs. How dare he do this? This meant a lot to my mother, he of all people knew how proud she was of her faith, and instead of respecting that, he completely trashed it. I wasn't going to spare him. I didn't care if he was much more deathly than before, he wasn't going to leave this house unscarred. Or worse.
"It's clear." He said, with his gun in both his hands, he looked scared. I didn't blame him for that, this was not going to be easy. I didn't know what was behind the big door in front of me.
"Ready?" I asked him.
"Ready." He confirmed.
In an instantly swift move, I turned the knob and pushed the door, walking in with my gun held firmly in my right hand while my left hand was still on the door knob.
I suddenly felt very scared. I knew that this would definitely hurt someone, whether me or him, and at this moment it most probably wasn't going to be Charles. I didn't want to have to find anything that would have me reacting to it in a dangerous manner, not in front of my family. I scared them enough when I told them, I didn't know what on earth they would do once they saw it with their own two eyes.
Blade went in first, looking for any sign of danger or anything worse for that matter, but there was absolutely no sign of a shoot-out in this very neat home.
I knew it. It was all a calculated scenario spread to me just to get me here, but for what?
"Mom?!" I called out, hoping with everything in me that she and the rest of the family were safe.
There was no response. It was all so quiet and suspicious and nerve-racking. It was either my family was too scared to come out, or what Blade said was true. Maybe Charles got to them. I tried again, but with a different name.
"Charles! Come the fuck out and face me!" I screamed out.
A man came out. He was dressed in casual black jeans and a black leather jacket, he looked like a very dangerous beast considering his very humongous size. That didn't scare me one bit, I had brought down men bigger than him before.
"Are you Claudia King?" He asked in a very, very deep voice.
"Who's asking?"
"Charles King." He answered with certainty and annoyance clear in his tone.
