Charles

Claudia definitely had guts. She had the audacity to challenge me, Charles King, and thought that she would succeed. I was going to destroy her and her hopeless family, starting with her precious little lamb, Hera Antoinette Pamela King.

"You've been extremely silent towards me ever since you arrived, you know?" I said patronisingly to her, watching her suffer right in front of my own eyes.

Hera had been tied down on the chair behind my desk in my office and seemed to be losing her mind with each moment spent here, which was just marvellous for me. "What... you don't want to speak to your old man. Am I not cool enough to talk to anymore?" I asked her soothingly, but she only scoffed.

Ever since she had arrived, Hera had not been the same. At first I wondered why she wasn't able to handle it as well as Claudia had done, and then I remembered that Claudia was stronger than Hera. This made torturing Hera even more satisfying, knowing that she couldn't even find the strength in her to fight back.

"Your mother is coming today." Her head flicked up and she looked at me with worthless hope in her eyes, "So now you want to hear what I have to say? Most of the time you just start crying, screaming or moaning uncontrollably. It's really annoying, you know?" I confessed, remembering all of the nights we had spent with me trying aimlessly to calm her the fuck down.

She may have not been as strong as Claudia, but she definitely had her mother's annoying level of endurance. There was nothing she couldn't take from me, and I had tried a lot of methods during the few weeks we had spent together.

"You won't believe how ridiculous she sounded, telling me crap about twenty-four hours and all of that. I just wanted to tell her to shut the fuck up." I rolled my eyes while taking my seat across from hers and propping my legs up onto the oak table. "It's ironic how she hates small talk, but can't shut up about killing me and being 'The Queen'. Your mother's ego is as big as the sun, if not fucking bigger. She needs to humble herself down, she seems to have forgotten that she wasn't born this way. Unlike you, she couldn't even finish her high school career."

Hera grunted, telling me that I pressed a button. I didn't want weird sounds coming out of her, I wanted words to come out of her. She didn't have something covering her mouth to stop her from speaking so I couldn't understand why she didn't speak. Still, I pursued.

"Don't go making funny sounds, that's not a lady-like thing to do. I don't want to find myself getting so annoyed that I have to kill you. Don't test me Hera." She looked back down from me and I felt like I wasn't going anywhere with this child. She just wasn't cooperative. "You know that I hoped that your mother wouldn't die, right?"

Again she scoffed, then turned her head slightly to the left, rubbing off the blood which was coming out from her mouth with her shoulder since her hands were tied behind her.

"I'm serious? Why don't you believe me? She's my wife, why on earth would I want her dead?"

She rolled her eyes and I lost my patience with her. I had done almost all that I could to her to break her, but she wasn't budging. She either scoffed, grunted or screamed out loudly, not one word had been said since she had arrived, and I had had enough.

"Listen here, you little bitch, I've been patient with you for far too long. It's starting to get on my last damn nerves! You're starting to grow on me like a rash and I will get rid of you. But first I have to deal with that repulsive thing you call a mother and after that, I'll finish off the rest of that Bryan family. They've always been a thorn in my ass, and I don't want them anymore. They've been alive for far too long, and now it's time for them to join their oh-so-glorious God! Do you understand me?!"
