I found it so ironic that the day that I try to warm my heart up, the weather today decided to become glum and disheartening. Yet it suited the occasion of today perfectly, on the first of June, today, Charles was laid to rest.

"My father was many things to many people. And for a long time I believed that he cared more about other people than about me. And about my mother. Until when one fateful occasion taught all of us that even though my father was always so busy, all he wanted was for us to be there with him. We didn't really take the initiative to love him that much or remind him that we did love him. And now... now we regret it. All of us. We wish, with everything in us, that we could bring him back and tell him just how much he meant to us. That's my final wish, I know it's impossible, but then again, God works in mysterious ways. I guess this is just me asking God for a miracle, just one more opportunity to see my dad for the last time. Even if for a second. Being his first son, I just want to make him proud. Seeing a smile on his face would make my entire life complete."

The people who had come to the funeral all nodded their heads, agreeing with Zeus' words. I was too numb to move, watching my family burying their father was breaking my heart. I bit my bottom lip to stop myself for crying in front of these people.

Charles' funeral was such a huge event for the world that we had to plan it privately in a place were the media would never have guessed it to be, Mississippi. It was his mother's birthplace.

After Zeus' tear-threatening speech, the speeches ended and his coffin was carried out of the large church and driven to the cemetery close by.

His grave was secluded from the rest, positioned in between his mother's, Jacklyn, and his brother's, Baxter.

While they lowered his coffin into the six feet deep grave, a cold chill climbed down my spine. It broke me out of my daze and back to my reality. I looked around me.

My children were crying, Mona was praying with tears streaming down her face and it seemed as though Bullet and Blade were trying their hardest to keep their composure while clinging onto their families. Bullet had his two week year old daughter, Kaylie, in his arms. He named her after his mother, Baxter's girlfriend, Kaylen. I was sure that just like Blade, he'd lock her up and throw away the key to protect her. I remembered Blade telling me that raising a boy meant guarding one penis. Raising a girl meant guarding a thousand penises.

"I feel like going on.
Oh I feel like going on.
Though mountains come
on every end.
I feel like going on."

Everyone sang along, but I kept still and emotionless. Usually when I was emotionless, I was aiming with my gun. But today I was trying to hide the pain I had been feeling inside. I caused all of this pain, I took Charles away from them. All their tears were my fault.

I had Bhavani holding my left hand, and Hera holding my right. Alfonsi had his hand on my left shoulder and Mary on my right. Blade was standing on my far right, with Lizzy's hand in his. Bullet was standing on my left with his small family. The rest of my family were behind me, sitting quietly while watching the coffin being dropped. Their hearts went down with it. And it was all my fault.

"Ma... I need my allowance back." Poseidon said to me while I was on my way out of my room. He followed me like a tail.
