Blade
Holding Claudia's hand in mine, my heart felt heavier than usual. She had fainted weeks ago and it was now the end of April.
Her breathing was disturbed, her face losing more and more of its life with each day. Charles had called many times to taunt us, much to our dismay.
All we did was pray, there was nothing else for us to do. Sarah stayed by Claudia's side every single second of every day. All Charlene and Cynthia did was cry endlessly. Athena and Poseidon never tried to approach their mother, they feared to see her in the state she was in. I understood how they felt, if someone was your hero for so long, it became too hard for you to watch them crumble in front of you.
Zeus stayed far away from not just his mother, but all of us. As did Hilary, she too suddenly started disappearing during the day, leaving Mason with Jermaine.
I spoke to Hera once, it was a brief video phone call from Charles just to make our agony worse. I had spent that small five minutes trying to calm her down and I knew for a fact that Charles wasn't being gentle with her.
Claudia was proof of it, Bullet was proof of it and soon Hera would be proof of the fact that Charles King wasn't a human. He was a demon. Hera was too sweet, too innocent and too loved to be changed. Charles couldn't have been able to do that to his own daughter. He just couldn't.
"Mr. Blade , can I talk to you for a minute?" The P.D. said to me while I sat next to Claudia's lifeless body, trying my hardest to console her broken mother.
I nodded my head, standing up and walked out of the room, closing the door quietly behind me.
"I need to clarify some things about Mrs. King. Health issues, past incidents or anything I should know concerning any past difficulties she may have suffered physically. Surgeries, special treatments, etcetera etcetera." She said to me, flipping her thick black hair back.
"I don't know anything about that..."
"... I would recommend that you give me your full cooperation because I need to know everything before I make any drastic decisions."
I froze. The first thing that popped into my head was how rude she had been to disturb me while I was speaking, but as I was about to address that, the second thing came to mind. 'Drastic decisions'.
"Why would you have to make any drastic decisions?" I asked worriedly, not sparing one moment for some optimism. I knew that being as negative as I was wouldn't result in anything good, but there was nothing in that moment for me to be happy about.
Claudia was unconscious, Hera had been kidnapped by Charles and he was doing only God knew what to her. My brother was a living corpse, I was surrounded with emotional females and I hadn't had an hour of sleep in weeks. I wasn't exactly over the moon in that moment.
"Mrs. King isn't doing very well, keeping her here is not a wise choice. Her blood pressure is slowly decreasing, her heart rate slowing down and I'm afraid that she has to be put into a coma to help her recover."
"Recover from what?"
"Her trauma. She seems to have experienced some heavy trauma which she never got treated for and her stress is adding to her overworked brain. Physically, she's decaying. Mentally, she's even worse. We need to put her into an induced coma."
"Dr. Indurjeeth, I beg of you. Don't beat about the bush, tell it to me straight. I am a strong man, I can fucking take it! Is Claudia dying?!"
"Not necessarily..."

Action"This is Hilary." I introduced her, still not being able to move an inch because of Claudia's eyes glued permanently on Hilary. Immediately after saying that, Claudia got up, pulling her gun from her hip and aiming it at Hilary. Hilary screamed out...
