I feel like on every chapter i post i should thank you all because your reactions to the chapters just makes me so happy! I LOVE YOU ALL.

I feel the cold morning air hit me as I walk downstairs. It’s not too cold but I’ve just got out of my ridiculously warm bed and it feels freezing. I could happily retract back upstairs but duty calls. I was more than happy when I woke up this morning expecting to have to get up and get Paisley dressed and ready for nursery and then i realised it’s the weekend and I had a chance to have a nice lie in which is much deserved in my opinion. The breeze coming from the open double doors leading into the garden hits my exposed skin creating little bumps across my arms, summer is slowly slipping away which is disappointing but on the bright side Christmas is approaching and it’s my favourite time of year as it is Paisleys, now she understands more it will be even more exciting than it already was. This will be my first year spending it as a proper family.

With a loud screech like giggle projecting through the air I go outside wrapping my arms around myself to protect me from the cold however gong out in just this long T-shirt isn’t really helping. I find myself immediately smiling as Cheryl is stood behind a giggling Paisley pushing her higher and higher on the swing. They’re both out here in their pyjamas with their coats on top keeping them warm. With each push Paisley lets out a louder scream making Cheryl laugh so hard I’m surprised she’s still stood up. Neither of them notices I’m stood here watching them until I let my presence be known. “Look at my girls making so much noise at … nine in the morning”

“Sorry did we wake you?”

“I’m joking you plonker” I laugh and she smiles pushing Paisley once more. I run in front of the swing pretending to be a monster catching her and I growl every time she swings in my direction sending her into an almost uncontrollable fit of laughter.

“It’s a good job we don’t have neighbours”

“You can say that again” I chuckle going around the swingset to kiss her cheek.

“You’re freezing” She looks at me with a concerned expression and she rubs her hands that are hidden in her long sleeves up and down both of my bare arms surprisingly bringing me some warmth. Even though its cold and I feel like I’m turning into a ice cube I cant complain, I won’t complain because this is so perfect. Waking up to hear my daughters laugh and her face displaying a humongous smile while she calls my girlfriend ‘mammy’ what could be better? It tugs on my heart strings. She’s only called Cheryl by her actual name a handful of times this week, it feels like we have a proper family now but things are only going to get more complicated today. Its Jason’s first time seeing Paisley, I’ve been putting it off for as long as I can but todays the day, I can’t push him away from her for much longer although I would love to.

“I am, so I’m going to make myself a cuppa, do you want one?”

“I’d love one, Do you want to go inside and finish your breakfast, Pai?”

“Carry me” She insists holding her hands out to her. Cheryl of course doesn’t argue, she doesn’t mind. She immediately responds to her request and lifts her up. This is how spoilt she is. She has her right in the palm of her hand.

As we go back in I make us both a nice cup of coffee and we sit at the table with Paisley tucking into a half-eaten bowl of cereal between us. Why she didn’t finish it before she went outside i don’t know but she’s wolfing I down, you would think she hadn’t ate in days. Cheryl looks up from her coffee after taking a mouthful and sighs contently. “You make the best coffee”

“I do try” I wink and blow on mine before taking a drink. Even sat here in her pyjamas, hair a mess and not a scrap of makeup on I still can’t stop looking at her, I keep having to remind myself to tear my eyes off of her but it’s difficult. She looks flawless without even having to try, as I’m sure a lot of women are I’m envious of her perfection, I wish I had it. She brings me from my thoughts by clearing her throat and giggling cutely into her mug obviously noticing me looking at her. “What time are you going to rehearsals?”
