I AM LITERALLY CRYING RIGHT NOW.
So, for the longest time, I have been wanting to watch Suicide Room...
AND IT'S JUST AS SAD AS I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE.
Okay, literally, this movie speaks to me. One hour and fifty-one minutes of emotional, dramatic, and fucking- it destroyed me.
About Suicide Room:
It's about a boy, who is, in fact gay, and of course, you can see where the bullying and stuff comes from. Well, turns out, he watches a video, and it's about a girl cutting a heart into her arm. He ends up watching it again, commenting, and the girl who creates it, known as 'Suicide Room' responds back a couple of times. All in all, he joins a virtual world in which he is able to talk to this girl, whose real name is actually Sylvia, and they make a bond together as good friends. Problem? She wants to kill herself. Together, they find different things that make them upset, ideas and thoughts and people that have damaged them. In the end, his last task is to bring her a bottle of pills. She was through with staying in her room forever. (It was three years)
and so, he went to the bar, supposedly where they were going to meet, and he accidentally swallowed the entire bottle of pills, minus a couple of handfuls. He shoved two glasses of alcohol down his throat, and he began acting ridiculously crazy. People were video taping him. At the end, -IF YOU DON'T WANT A SPOILER, STOP READING, K-
but at the end, he ends up committing suicide. A couple who were video taping him had video-ed his last moments, as he screamed for his parents, for his mom.
Days later, after his suicide had been notified, they put up the video, and called it 'Suicide Room'.
I honestly had such a hard time finishing the movie, because I was in tears so badly. He went through so much shit, with not talking to his parents and going into an insane asylum, and different things that really challenged his mind. He cut himself, though said he didn't want to kill himself that badly.
Quit frankly, I love this movie. I think it has a real fucking meaning to it, and it should be respected because of that.
I actually have an idea for this movie to become a fanfiction of mine. I don't know when I'll post it, but it will include that I do not own the movie, and therefore, not all will have came from my mind.
I just- wanted to share that with you...
If you haven't seen Suicide Room, I definitely recommend it. If you are triggered easily, I suggest not. Great storyline, though...
xx
