Astrid's P.O.V.

I'd started hitting my head on the wall in boredom, half way through the questioning, so the doctor had left, claiming I was nothing more than a stressed out teenager as Hiccup had told him. So now, I was sitting next to Hiccup's bed, reading a magazine as a nurse helped him with some exercises to strengthen his leg before they put on the prosthetic. "Okay, we'll be doing these everyday until the prosthetic gets here," she says and Hiccup nods before she leaves.

"Astrid? Are you going to freak out again?" Hiccup asks, seeing my face.

"No," I say, dropping the magazine.

"Are you okay?" he asks.

"I've just had enough of hospitals in my life. My injuries, and other peoples'," I sigh, rubbing my temple.

"You wanna go home?" he asks.

"No, I can stay if you want," I say.

"You sure you won't have another panic attack?"

"Hiccup, the doctor said they pop up randomly. Okay? I can't control 'em. But I feel fine, right now," I tell him.

"Okay," he says, reaching for me. I moved the chair to his bedside and took his hand as I rested my head on the bed.

"So. I guess I should take a few extra shifts at the cafe, huh?" I ask.

"You do that, and I'll break up with you," he says before running his fingers through my hair as his dad runs into the room.

"Hiccup! I just heard what happened, are you okay?!" he asks worriedly as he runs forward and wraps his son in a bone crushing hug.

"I-I'm fine.....Dad!" his voice was tight and constricted.

"Oh, but...your leg!" Stoick said as he touched the stump.

"It's fine, Dad," Hiccup says before looking at me. We hadn't told him I'd gotten raped and the look in Hiccup's eye made me worried about his next words. It was a look that said, 'He has to know.' I shook my head quickly but he countered it with a nod. I shook my head again before Stoick noticed us.

"What are you two saying by thought?" he asks.

"Astrid is pregnant," Hiccup says and his dad pauses, "She got raped two weeks ago and she beat the odds of not getting knocked up."

"Hiccup, don't get gross," I sigh as Stoick looked at me. He froze for a minute, his eyes wide with alarm.

"What are you doing here?! You should be at home, resting!" he shouts.

"Dad! Dad, don't scream!" Hiccup orders.

"I won't get a panic attack because of raised voices," I tell him.

"Do you know how to find him? Is he going to pay-" Hiccup cut him off.

"They caught him, she has to go to court tomorrow to identify that they have the right guy," he says.

"Tomorrow?" I ask.

"Yeah, you think you can go without me? It'll just be at the courthouse," Hiccup says.

"When did you find this stuff out?" I ask.

"I may or may not have opened the mail you got from the court house," he said sheepishly.

"You were just going to spring it on me tomorrow? Without letting me get an appropriate outfit?" I ask in irritation.

"You don't need an outfit, just dress how you dress for school," he says, "Like I said: They just need you to confirm that it was him."
