"I need you to concentrate on where you want to go. Visualize it in your mind, close your eyes and snap." Anti instructed. Laura was staring at the circle that was drawn on the floor. She tried to picture it in her head and imagine she was standing in it. She closed her eyes tight and snapped. When she opened her eyes, she was just outside of the circle she had just been standing in. "UGH!" She groaned in frustration. "I am never going to get this." "You will, you just need to practice." "We have been at it for hours and I haven't even made it to the second circle." "Well you are not going to get any farther being this frustrated. Let's take a break." "Fine, I'll make lunch...Wait I don't have to do that anymore do I?" Laura asked looking sad. "We can still have lunch and dinner and breakfast." Anti glitched to her side lifting her chin with his hand. "Nothing has to change just because you have. We can still have our meals together like we did before we are still going to all sit down for dinner. That doesn't have to change." Laura smiled up at him. Laura and Anti sat down at the table to eat lunch. "Anti, can I ask you something?" "Anything." "So If I am a demon now why do I still feel the same way? I expected to not have any feelings. It was one of the reasons I was worried about doing this when Dark first mentioned it because I was afraid it would make me different." "Dark didn't explain anything to you?" "We didn't do much talking last night." Anti blushed. "Anyway. There was a spell that Dark had been researching. He performed it during the ritual. It allowed you to keep part of your humanity. So even though you are a demon you still feel like you." Interesting." They fell into silence while Laura processed what she just learned. After they finished eating. Anti cleared the table. He sat back down across from Laura. He reached across the table and rested his hands on hers that she had clasped tightly together. "Are you ok?" He asked. "With the whole demon thing? Yes. However, I have been thinking about...Wilford." Laura said not making eye contact." "Thinking about what?" "I feel guilty about what he did to you guys and I feel guilty for his death. I am worried how it is affecting Dark but I am afraid to ask. Hell, I am afraid to even mention his name at all." "I can see that, but you should talk to him if it is bothering you. I am not saying you can't talk to me, but you shouldn't hide this from him. Remember how you felt when he was keeping the ritual planning from you?" "Yeah it was utterly frustrating." "Exactly. You don't think he will know that something is bothering you and you are keeping it from him?" Laura sighed heavily. "You're right." "So, what can I do to help?" "I don't know. I think I want a way to honor him." "Why? After everything he did?" Yes. I understand why he did what he did. That is why I tried so hard to save him. He was just hurting, and it made him crazy. Sound familiar?" Anti looked down at the table. "I am just so sorry for what he did to you as well. I feel guilty you got caught up in it and had to go through all that. I don't like the fact that you were hurt because of me." Anti moved to the chair next to Laura. "None of that now. I will fight to the death to protect you. You know that right?"
"I appreciate that. I know you would. It is just that you ended up in the collar and in the cell because we are close. He didn't just drop you in the middle of nowhere like Die. He used me to torment you." "No one blames you for what happened. Not even Dark." Anti put his arms around Laura. She shrank into his hug. Anti sighed happily. "Thank you. For everything." Laura wrapped her arms around Anti and held him tight. After a long while Anti finally spoke. "You know I could sit here all day like this but maybe we should get back to training." Laura giggled. "Let's do it." By the end of the afternoon Laura was able to teleport to each circle drawn on the floor with no problem. "Good job. Next time we will try farther distances." Anti told her. "Bring it on." At dinner Laura was humming happily as she prepared the food. Die, Anti and Dark were sitting at the table waiting for her. Laura placed the plates down in front of them. She stayed standing and lifted up her glass. "I have something to say before we eat. I want to just say how much I love each and every one of you. I am sorry for all that has happened because of me. I am just happy that even though things are different this hasn't changed. I have come to love our family dinners and I appreciate you guys joining me every night. Lastly, I want to make a toast to Wilford." Laura watched Dark's posture change and Die's eyes open wide. "Even though what he did was deplorable, he had his reasons no matter how fucked up they were. He was your friend. I am sorry he is gone." Laura held her glass up. They guys looked at each other, not quite sure how to respond. Then Dark stood up and walked upstairs without a word. Laura looked at Anti and Die. "Go." Anti said. Laura snapped her fingers and appeared in their room. Dark was surprised to see her there. "How?" "I have been practicing, Anti has been training me." Laura walked up to Dark but didn't touch him. "Are you upset with me?" She asked. Dark took her face in his hands. "No princess, I am not upset with you. I am just upset about the situation." Dark assured her. "I have been feeling bad about it too. Do you think we can talk after dinner?" Laura asked nervously. "Of course, we can. Come on let's go eat." Dark took Laura's hand and lead her down stairs. Anti and Die were sitting there, plates untouched. "Were you two waiting for us?" Laura asked. "Of course." Laura kiss them each on the cheek before she sat down. "I love you guys." Laura sat down. Dark picked up his glass. "You never finished your toast." Laura smiled at him and raised her glass. "To Wilford." Anti and Die did the same. They clinked their glasses. After dinner Laura and Dark went to their room to talk. They sat on the bed facing each other. "I have been feeling bad about everything that happened. I know everyone keeps telling me it is not my fault, but I still feel like it is. I feel like if I had listened to you guys and stayed away from him that I things may have ended differently. I feel like my actions made things worse." Laura admitted to Dark. "That is ridiculous. I want you to listen to me. If this is any one's fault, other then Will's then it is mine. I should have told you about him right away or maybe I could have told him about you. I fear that no matter what course we would have taken it would have ended the same." "I can kind of see that too. I still feel bad that you had to kill your best friend. It hurts me to think that I am the cause of any pain you might be in." "I don't want you to carry that. I lost my best friend a long time ago. The man that I killed was far from the man that was my friend. So please don't feel that. I would do anything for you. I hope you know that." "I do."
