"Dark? Can you hear me?" Laura called out to Dark telepathically. "I can hear you. Are you alright?" "I think so. I am just so tired and my chest hurts from all the coughing." "I want you to take it easy and let the doctors take care of you so you can come home soon. Mark will be there if you need anything." "Thank you for making sure I was not alone. I can't believe you went to Mark." "I didn't know what else to do. I couldn't leave you there alone." "You big softy. I love you." "I love you too." "Please tell Anti I am doing ok. I miss you guys. Die too." "Anti is a mess. He is worried sick about you. I think Die is worried as well." "Well I should be home soon so don't..." "Don't what?" "Laura?" "Laura answer me." "LAURA!" "Mark!" Something is wrong with Laura?" "She's fine. She's sleeping." Without realizing it, Mark answered Dark out loud. Najee looked at Mark confused. "No, something is wrong. I was just talking with her and she stopped talking. Now she is not answering me." "Mark, who are you talking to?" Najee asked looking around the room. "Dark. He is in my head. He said there is something wrong with Laura." Just then the machine Laura was hooked up to started beeping and flashing. Doctor's came rushing in the room making Najee and Mark leave. "What is happening?" Mark yelled as they were pushing them out into the hallway. "Sir, you have to wait in the waiting room. The doctor will be out with an update as soon as he can." The nurse informed Najee and Mark. They both looked at each other not quite sure what to do. They stood frozen for a moment before they finally made their way to the waiting room. "How were you talking to Dark before? There was no one in the room but us." Najee asked once they were seated. "He can communicate telepathically." "Mark, what is happening? She still won't answer me." "I don't know. The machines started to beep and the doctors rushed in and sent us out of the room. We are in the waiting room right now waiting for them to update us." "I am coming there." "NO! Dark there is nothing you can do here. I will let you know as soon as I know anything. I promise." Mark slumped down in his chair. "Dark is worried about Laura. He wants to be here. I think I convinced him otherwise." "Yeah, I think that would just cause more harm then good at this point." "I guess all we can do now is wait." Najee and Mark fell into silence.

"DAMN IT!!" Chairs were thrown across the room, tables were over turned. Anti glitched into the room to find Dark pacing feverishly throwing things around as he went. "What happened?" Dark was startled out of his pacing, he faced Anti, eyes glowing a bright red. Anti knew immediately that something was very, very wrong. "Tell me what happened!" Dark returned to his pacing and started to ramble as he moved. "I don't know what is happening. Laura stopped talking to me and Mark was rushed out of the room. I want to go down there and smite everyone who can't help her. I need to know she is ok. I need to hear her voice." Dark stopped and looked at Anti. Anti saw what he could only describe sadness in his eyes. "What is happening to me? Why do I feel these things? Why do I care so much? I never cared if anyone lived or died. I never needed anything the way I need her. I have never felt anything like what I feel for her. I don't understand it and I don't like feeling like this. I can't lose her I can't imagine another day without her by my side." Dark dropped to his knees. He ran his hands through his hair. Anti had many emotions he was not accustomed to as well. He knelt down next to Dark and placed a hand on his shoulder. "She is the strongest human I have ever come across. She will be alright. You feel this way about her because she is special. She is different from anyone we have encountered. I love her too. I understand what you are feeling. I can't imagine her not being here either. So you.. no, we have to believe that she will be home with us soon." Dark sighed heavily and stood back up. He snapped his fingers cleaning up all the turned over furniture. "Your right. Thank you for that." Anti nodded.
