Chapter Seven

Ben's POV

I had woken up, Rey still laying in my arms. I smiled slightly. "Goodmorning, kitten," I whispered to her.

"Morning, Ben," She mumbled.

"How are you feeling?" I asked her quietly, still not letting go of the embrace.

"Better, I guess," she replied quietly, burying her face in my shoulder once again.

"You can sleep here anytime you want, you know that, right?" I said to her quietly.

"Really?" She asked, glancing up to meet my eyes, I looked into her eyes.

"Yeah, of course you can," I replied.

Rey's POV

I looked up at him. "Thanks," I said to him with a slight, tired smile.  He was the only person that could actually keep the nightmares away at night.

"No problem, Rey," he said softly, kissing my forehead gently.

"We should probably get to the academy before Luke starts to wonder where we are." I said to him.

"Yeah, we should," he replied.

We stood up and I gave him a quick hug before sneaking back to my own hut, Jedi weren't allowed to have connections like that. I quickly changed into the training clothing and combed through my tangled hair. I braided it simply before stepping out of my hut, Ben was waiting for me right outside my hut, always.

"Ready?" He asked as we began to walk towards the stone building.

"Yeah, as ready as I'll ever be,"I replied with a slight smile.

We made it to the academy in five minutes, maybe a bit longer. We were late for class, for the second time that week. Luke had been in the middle of explaining what we were going to do today.

"Why are you two late, again?" Luke asked, obviously annoyed.

"I overslept, and Ben came to wake me up," I lied, looking down at the ground as the whole class whispered to one another, probably gossiping and spreading rumours, as usual.

"Fine, just don't be late again," Luke said with a sigh as Ben and I sat down in our usual spot in the back of the room.

Luke stood in front of the room, as always. "Today we will be training with the lightsabers today," Luke said.

It had been a few weeks since we had last trained with our sabers, so I was a bit excited about that.

"The partners are still the same, and don't even try to switch with one another," Luke said seriously.

I glanced at Ben, who had been my partner for training for the past year.

We all stood up and followed Luke to the training field.

"So, are you two dating or what?" One of the girls in our class asked Ben and I, her training partner standing beside her.

I glanced up at Ben, I didn't really know what we were. He looked back down at me with a questioning look, asking if we were, I shrugged and nodded slightly.

"Yeah, we are dating, what's it to you?" Ben replied, looking over at the girl.

The girl nodded. "I told you so," she muttered to her training partner as they turned around and began to walk away.

"So, we're dating?" I asked Ben with a slight smirk, it hadn't ever been 'official' before.

"Yeah, I guess we are," he replied with a small smile.
