Ben's POV
I smiled at her response and take her hand gently, holding it as we walked to the field side by side. I knew that by the end of the day everybody would know that Rey and I were dating, the people here really could not keep a secret. The only bad thing was that Uncle Luke was bound to find out. And this sort of relationship was forbidden to the Jedi. Jedi weren't supposed to be in romantic relationships like Rey and I were, it was against the rules. But I didn't really care about that specific rule, it was stupid, really, and I thought that I loved Rey.
We made it to the field and began to train, I pulled out my saber and she pulled out her own and we began to swing and strike at one another, being careful not to actually hit each other. I end up knocking the saber out of Rey's hands and knocking her to the ground. I turned my lightsaber off and hold out my hand to help her up, as I had done the first day we had trained together, except this time, it was different. I pulled her to her feet.
"I think I win," I said with a smirk.
"Yeah, yeah, you win," Rey replied with a quiet sigh.
I smiled slightly at her. "You've gotten a lot better at it though," I said to her, hugging her tightly, my arms around the shorter girls waist, my chin resting on the top of her head.
Rey's POV
I hugged him tightly. "I think I love you," I said to him softly, my forehead against his chest.
"You think you love me?" He asked with a small laugh.
I pulled away from the hug slightly, so that I could see him. "Fine, I do love you," I said nervously, glancing up to meet his eyes.
"I love you to, Kitten," Ben replied with a smile.
Luke walked towards us and I let go of the hug quickly as Luke approached us.
"I don't think that that's considered 'training'," Luke said looking at the two of us.
"Sorry, Master Luke," I apologized quietly, looking down at the grass we were standing on.
"Now get to training, both of you," he said annoyed."
"Yes, sir," I said, kneeling down to grab my saber.
I picked up my saber and stood up with it. Ben reignited his saber and I ignited mine, the white-green blade coming into existence."You're going down this time, Solo," I said to him with a smirk.
"Mmhmm, try me, Kitten," he replied, returning the smirk.
We started to train once again until Luke yelled out for everyone to stop and turn off their sabers and that it was time for our lunch break.
"Lunch?" Ben asked, as he clipped his saber to his belt.
"Of course," I replied smiling slightly, clipping my own saber to my belt.
He smiled and we walked to the meadow that I had discovered during my first few days at the academy, it was beautiful, a clear blue lake and wildflowers grew everywhere. We sat down at our usual spot, on one of the large rocks that were beside the lake. Ben and I had been coming here for lunch almost every day for the past couple of months, it was our spot.
He picked out a bluish flower close to where we had been sitting and tucked it behind my ear.
"You know that Master Luke is going to flip if he finds out about us, right?" I asked him with a slight smile.
"I don't plan on him ever finding out." Ben replied quietly.
"He's going to find out, Ben, some of the people here couldn't keep a secret even if their life was on the line," I replied with a smirk.
"True," he said with a laugh.
"What a shame it would be if something happened to the boy," the voice of the monster I had been hearing in my dreams said. "Or, if you betrayed him, that would be truly terrible." He continued.
Ben's POV
Rey fell unconscious and I caught her before she could fall off the rock we were sitting on, into the lake. I checked her pulse, relieved when I felt it. I sat there, on the rock, the unconscious girl in my arms.
