Chapter Ten

Rey's POV

The rest of the day seemed to drag on forever, I couldn't concentrate on any of the work, or really anything to be honest. All I could think about was the vision. I stayed almost silent for the second half of the day, rarely speaking to anyone, including Ben. And I knew that it was wrong of me to shut him out, but I didn't know what to tell him, especially when I knew that whatever happened in that vision was my fault. By the end of the day I was close to having a panic attack, and I knew it. There were too many thought racing through my head at the same time. The bell rang and Luke dismissed us.

I slipped out of the classroom quickly, not even waiting for Ben, although I knew that he'd want to talk, and immediately walked to the meadow. I sat on a flat rock by the waters edge. My heart was racing from no apparent reason other than the anxiety caused by the thoughts and it was harder to breath. I hated this feeling of complete hopelessness, it reminded me of how weak I actually was.

Ben's POV

After the day had ended, Rey had rushed off without a word, and I was really worried about her, I knew that she would probably be either in the meadow or in her hut, I decided to check the meadow first.

Slowly, I walked towards the meadow when Uncle Luke stopped me a few steps out of the academy.

"We need to talk," he said seriously.

"About what?" I asked, desperately wanting to go check on Rey.

"About Rey," Luke replied.

My heart dropped, had he somehow found out about her nightmares? "What about Rey?" I asked him.

"There's a darkness inside of her, Ben, she isn't the same girl that you met a year ago." Luke said quietly, walking me towards his office.

"She's just going through something, Uncle Luke, she'll be fine," I replied, although I barely believed my own words.

"Ben, this is serious," Luke said annoyed.

"I'm sorry Uncle Luke, but I have to go." I said, standing up and walking out of the room. I ran quickly towards the meadow, as a sudden feeling came over me. Rey was in danger. I sprinted faster towards the meadow.

//Idk if there's going to be anymore cute scenes between Rey and Ben for a while.
