Chapter Twenty-Eight

Rey's POV
"What- what was that for?" I asked, trying to process what had just happened.

"I know that we're probably not going to make it out of here alive, and I wanted to let you know how I felt about you." Ben replied. "I love you, Rey."

"I love you to," I said quietly, looking up at him. "And we will make it out of here." I added.

He nodded. "Okay, now lets go finish this thing," he said.

I nodded and opened the door we were standing near, entering the base. I walked quietly down the hallway towards the elevator. Footsteps could be heard coming down the hall and I took a deep breath knowing that this was part of the plan.

"She's the traitor," One of the troopers said, obviously recognizing me.

Ben looked over at me nervously and I shot him a reassuring smile as the troopers stepped closer to us.

I felt as the trooper put cuffs on my wrists and glanced over at Ben as the troopers lead us towards the elevator. The troopers stood behind us in the elevator to make sure that we didn't escape. After what seemed like forever, we arrived at the throne room where Snoke was.

The elevator doors slowly opened and the troopers shoved us into the room, I stumbled slightly but caught myself before falling.

"Hello, Rey," Snoke said, venom in his voice. I flinched slightly when he said my name.

Ben's POV
I glanced over at Rey, she still looked quite calm, but I could tell that she was trying not to just go and straight up fight the Supreme Leader right now.

"And who is this?" The creature sitting in the throne asked, focusing his attention on me.

"He's a force sensitive from the resistance," Rey replied emotionlessly. "I thought that he'd be a good addition to the first order."

I looked over at Rey, wondering if she'd meant that, if all of this had just been a trap.

"Don't lie to me, child, I know exactly what your intentions are." Snoke said cruelly. "You're a traitor to the first order, you betrayed us for the boy."
