Rey's POV
I sat in the cell for a few hours, waiting for Ben to come back with the news. I was silently hoping that it would be good news and not bad.

I jumped to my feet as soon as I'd heard footsteps coming to my cell except the person wasn't Ben. It was a taller boy with brown messy hair and brown eyes.

"General Organa wants to speak to you." He said to me emotionlessly, unlocking the cell and opening the door he stepped into the cell and grabbed my arm roughly before putting cuffs around my wrists and leading me to the elevator.

My heart was pounding, a million thoughts were running through my head. The boy lead me into what was most likely the main bridge and shoved me into it. I stumbled slightly, quickly regaining my balance. I looked around the room and saw Ben, he'd been looking at me.

"Hello, Rey," the older woman standing near Ben said, I could only assume that she was the general due to the fact that she knew my name. "Ben has convinced us to let you go, as long as you agree to help the resistance fight against the first order."

Ben's POV
I looked at Rey, hoping that she'd just accept the offer, no questions asked.

Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Poe looking extremely mad about this whole situation.

"I agree to help the resistance." Rey said, looking at my mother.

"Okay then, Poe take off her cuffs, she's no longer a prisoner." Leia said to Poe.

Poe followed the instructions before leaving the room.

"Ben, can you show Rey around the base?" Leia asked politely.

I nodded. "Yeah, of course." I replied.

"Okay, thank you," she dismissed us.

I walked over to Rey and took her hand gently before walking out of the bridge and down the hallway, once we were far enough down the hallway, Rey turned to me with a bright smile.

"I told you I'd help you," I said to her with a smile.

"I know, I just didn't think that you'd be able to convince them to let me go like that," she replied with a smile, her hazel eyes filled with hope.

That's when it hit me, this was the first time in more than three years that I'd seen her look so happy and so hopeful. "But I did and now you're safe," I said.
