Chapter Thirty-One

Rey's POV
I stood there for a few moments, just looking at the closed elevator doors before turning my attention back to Snoke.

The Supreme Leader glared down at me. "Kill the girl, she is of no use to us anymore." He said without hesitation.

One of the praetorian guards came up to me, their weapons drawn, I knew that there was no way I could win, especially without a weapon. The two troopers who'd brought me into the room pushed me to the ground so I was sitting on my knees, trying to use the force to push the guard away from me, but it was no use. I felt a horrible pain in my stomach, and knew immediately that I'd either been stabbed or shot. I cried out in pain as I hear the elevator door open.

Ben's POV
As the door opened I heard a cry come from the room, a horrible cry of pain. I knew immediately that it was Rey. The doors finished opening and I ran to her side and kneeled down beside her, pulling her close to me.

Her hazel eyes were filled with pain and her breathing was shallow. She was losing too much blood.

"Ben, go," she said, weakly trying to push me away. "Get out of here."

"No, I'm not leaving you, Kitten, not this time," I replied quietly.

"You-you promised that if something happened, that you wouldn't look back," she reminded me weakly.

"I know," I say quietly, before turning my attention to Snoke. "Let her go or else," I threatened.

"Foolish child, even if I agreed to let her go, she'd be dead before you made it back to the base, so go ahead, try to save the traitor." Snoke replied with a cruel smile.

My heart dropped as I realized he was probably right about Rey, that she wouldn't make it, but I had to at least try.

I picked her up carefully, trying not to touch where she'd been stabbed and walked to the elevator.
