The Dark Side Of The Light

Chapter Eleven

Rey's POV

I sat there on the rock for a few more moments, until I heard branches cracking. I immediately jumped to my feet, my hand on the hilt of my saber. It wasn't Ben, I knew that for a fact,  I would have been able to sense his presence with the force. I ignited my saber, and silently cursed myself for coming here alone. A tall man a few years older than me, dressed in all dark clothing and a long dark came out of the forest, a lightsaber in his hand. The blade of his lightsaber was a fiery red-orange color, while mine was a green-white shade. I stood my ground nervously, knowing that if it came to a battle, I'd most likely lose, the man was quite obviously older and more experienced.

"Foolish Jedi," the man said with a cruel laugh. "Supreme Leader Snoke has told me about you, Rey."

I froze when he said my name. "Get away from me," I said shakily, as the man came closer.

I swung my lightsaber at him, he blocked it easily and I tried to strike him again, missing. My lightsaber flew out of my hand and suddenly his fiery red lightsaber was close to my neck.

"You'll turn to the dark side and you know it." He said.

"NO!" I shouted.

"Well then, I'm sorry but I have to kill you," he said.

I screamed as loud as I could, praying that somebody, anybody would hear me when I felt a sudden pain. I cried out in pain and fell to the ground as the person ran away.

Ben's POV

I sprinted as fast as I could to the meadow and saw Rey laying motionless on the grass which was stained red with blood, her blood. I knelt down beside her and saw the cut on her side, thankfully it wasn't that deep. I carefully picked her up in my arms bridal style and carried her out of the meadow. I knew that I should have came to the meadow right after classes ended instead of talking to Luke, this wouldn't have happened if I had been with her, she wouldn't be hurt if I had just been there with her.
