Chapter Twenty-Seven

Rey's POV
"I know this is going to be a useless attempt but Ben I don't want you to get hurt, you don't have to come," I said, glancing up at him, trying once again to convince him not to go on the mission with me because I knew there was high possibility that this would end up being a suicide mission, and I really didn't want Ben to get hurt.

"I do have to come, Rey," he replied calmly. "Now, come on, let's go." He added walking into the ship.

I followed him into the ship after a few seconds. "Okay, when we get there, you need to follow my lead, okay?" I said to him as I sat in the copilots seat beside him.

"Okay," he replied, starting the ship. "And if we get caught then what do we do?" He asked.

"Well, that was kind of part of the plan, if we get caught the troopers will take us up to the supreme leader where we need to be." I replied calmly.

He nodded and I could tell he didn't like the plan. "Don't worry, the plans going to work." I told him as we took off from the base.

I put in the coordinates for Starkiller Base and we enter lightspeed moments after.

Ben's POV
When we landed in the forest on starkiller base, I looked over at Rey, who looked like she deep in thought.

"Rey, we're here," I said to her.

She nodded and glanced over at me. "Okay, lets get this over with." She said.

I nodded and stood up, offering her my hand. We walked outside of the ship and into the cold air of the base hand in hand. "Lead the way," I said.

Rey nodded and began walking through the forest towards the entrance.

We walked in silence for the whole way. Once we were right outside though, she turned to me. "Remember, follow my lead," she said.

I nodded and glanced down at her. Before I really knew what I was doing, I kissed her softly for a moment or two before pulling away.
