Rey's POV
I looked at him as I stood in the cell, not feeling anything except a cold, numb feeling. Tears were streaming down my face as I let my guard down, no longer caring if the resistance saw me as weak, it wasn't like I was going to get out of the cell.

He stood on the other side of the cell. "Rey, why did you join the first order?" He asked me quietly.

"I didn't want to, Ben," I replied quietly through the tears.

"Then why did you?" He asked.

"Cause I was weak, Ben, cause I couldn't deal with the nightmares every night. I needed a way out of the constant voice in my head." I replied quietly.

Ben's POV
I looked at her and saw a sliver of the Rey I'd known in the academy in the last few weeks, the same Rey who'd been broken and scared and hopeless.

"I'm sorry," she said to me quietly.

"I'll be back in a few hours to check on you, okay?" I said to her softly.

She just nodded and I walked away towards the main bridge, knowing that I'd have to tell my parents that Rey was alive and a prisoner. I entered the bridge and saw my mother standing by one of the main consoles I walked over to her.

"Rey's alive." I told her.

"What?" Leia asked shocked. "Ben, I don't think so, Luke told us all that she was dead."

"If you don't believe me, go check cell block a." I replied. "Shes been alive this whole time, and part of the first order." I added.
