Three Years Later

Rey's POV

I woke up in the small bed in my room on the Starkiller Base, tears streaming down my face caused by the same nightmare I'd been having every day since the fire at the academy. I wiped the tears from my cheek and laid in my bed, staring at the ceiling, I knew that I should have probably got up and ready for the days tasks, but I didn't want to. After a few minutes of doing nothing, I stand up and take a warm shower before changing into my usual outfit, black pants, a black tank top and a black jacket. I clipped my lightsaber to my belt and walked out of my room and towards the main bridge, as always.

"We're going into combat against the resistance in an hour, so get your troops ready," I said to Captain Phasma as I passed her in the hallways.

Ben's POV

I stood in the main bridge of the ship, my mother was talking about some sort of plan to win the war against the first order, but I wasn't paying attention to what she was saying. It had been exactly three years since the fire at the academy. Three years since I had lost Rey. I push those thoughts out of my head and attempt to pay attention to the plan, which was to attack them on the Starkiller Base and hopefully win. I personally thought it was a stupid idea, but whatever.

"Get ready for battle," Leia said to everyone as a dismissal. I walked back to my room and changed into a clean white shirt and jeans with my leather jacket.

I then head to the hangar where my x-wing was, and prepare it for take off.

I was ready to fight against the first order.
