Chapter six- memories

Lizas pov
I woke up to mason shouting "moma" at the top of his lungs. I pulled myself out of David's grip and the warmth of the blanket and went through to my boy.
"Good morning mace" I said pulling him out of his crib and changing his diaper. "Dada?" He questioned pointing to mine and David's bedroom. "Yeah dada's sleeping we gotta be quiet" I said to him putting my finger on my lips. Mason copied and also put his finger over his lip. I nodded at him and we walked into my room. I set him onto the bed and expected him to accidentally wake up David but instead he walked carefully and lay right next to david. I also joined and hugged mason waiting for David to wake up.
After a few minutes of mason basically poking David's face, he woke up. As soon as he opened his eyes, he wrapped his arms round both me and mason. "I love you both so so much" he said. "We love you too don't we mace" I said looking down at my son sandwiched between us. He nodded and cuddled into David more.
I broke apart from them but David and mason were still hugging tightly. Masons light brown skin against David's pale white skin was the cutest thing ever and it made me so happy. "You both are so cute" i said aweing at them and opening Instagram on my phone. I took a video of them and put it on my story. I put stickers over most of david as he didn't like to have his shirt off on social media and he was only wearing come Calvin Kleins.
"As much as I love watching you have boy time, we need to get up and get breakfast " I said pulling mason out of David grip and tickling him. "Momma!" He said whilst uncontrollably laughing. "Maceeeee" I said stopping ticking and placing him on the floor. "Breakfast?" He asked looking up at me. "Yep" I said holding his hand as we went down the stairs. He babbled to himself as we walked step by step down the stairs and when we finally got to the bottom he rushed over to his high chair. I lifted him into it and cut some grapes into halves and then placed them in front of him. As he was eating them, I made his oatmeal and then gave him that too. David soon followed down, still looking half asleep and only in his underwear. I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed his lips passionately. He put his arms around my waist and instantly kissed back. "Fuck, I love you so much" he said staring into my eyes as we broke apart. "Ditto" I replied hugging him. I love the feel of his smooth skin against me. It makes me so happy and comfortable. We just stood for a minute hugging and enjoying each others presence when I heard a small crash from behind me causing me to pull myself away from David. I looked at mason and he had thrown his oatmeal all over the floor and himself. I wanted to laugh but I knew it would encourage him so instead I put my stern, mom face. I saw him looking instantly guilty. "Mason" I said annoyance in my voice. "Why did you do that?" I asked. He said a few words I couldn't make out which were just kind of babble. "Mason do you need to go on time out?" I asked him. "No!" He shouted. "Can you be a good boy?" I asked him still giving him the 'eyes'. He nodded and looked at me with a sad and sorry expression. I lifted him out of his chair and bathed him considering he was completely covered in oatmeal.
Today I'm going with Kristen and scotty to see their baby for the first time. They have been once before to confirm Kristen was pregnant but it was too early to see the baby so since Kristen is now ten weeks we will probably be able to see it. I also think Kristen is finally believing me about her being a good mom and I think she's now excited.
Whilst I'm gone, David and mason are gonna have a chill day which means eating snacks and watching movies and probably not getting dressed for them but since I have to go out I walked up the the closet and went in searching for an outfit. In the end I decided to go for some blue ripped jeans and one of my favourite t shirts which is the one with the little pizza slice on the corner of it. I then did my make up and brushed my hair.
I went downstairs to see David on his hover-board that he had recently bought for a bit in one of his vlogs holding mason so he was also standing on it. It was super cute but it gave me a heart attack considering he nearly crashed/ fell off a few times.
I grabbed my phone keys and wallet, kissed my boys goodbye and got into my car to head to the hospital.
As excited as I am to see kristens baby, I'm scared the hospital will bring back all the sad memories. I feel like I have only just gotten through it all and I don't want all the anxiety and sadness to come back.

I drove to the hospital trying to stay happy, I listened to some of my favorite upbeat music and looked at pictures of mason and David together (which made me the happiest in the world) before I went in, which helped a little but I still had a little anxiety that I tried to shake off. I went into the waiting room of the maternity ward to see Kristen and scott already sitting in the corner, their hands were laced together and they were as close to each other as they could get. "Hey guys" I said quietly, sitting down. "Hey" they replied in unison. "You guys excited?" I asked feeling now super excited for them. Kristen nodded and had a smile on her face and so did Scott.

"Kristen mcatee" the nurse called after about half an hour of waiting. We followed the nurse through to the room which just happened to be room three, otherwise known as the room where we found out about the baby. I kept a fake smile on my face so I wouldn't worry or scare Kristen. We waited alone for a moment and then the midwife came in, it was Emma. She gave me a comforting smile and then got on to talking with Kristen and Scott. She asked them all of the familiar questions before Kristen lay on the bed and rolled her shirt up, revealing her small bump. "How has the morning sickness been?" Emma asked Kristen, creating conversation. "Annoying" Kristen replied laughing "every morning the baby thinks it's okay to wake me up at like six feeling sick" she continued. Emma laughed a little before squirting some of the cold gel onto Kristens  stomach. "You excited?" I asked quietly as Kristen looked over to me. She nodded and smiled.
Kristen and Scott had their hands linked together and they were both looking at the screen full of hope. It made me both happy and sad. Happy because my best friend is having a baby and she's going to be the best mom but sad because all of these things bring back the memories and fill me with so much anxiety.
Emma moved the probe until we heard the adorable little heartbeat for the baby. It was quite small but they were already so cute. "Omg your baby Is going to be the cutest ever" I told them.
Kristens eyes had filled with tears at the sight of their baby and Scott had the biggest smile on his face ever. I so wish I could go back to that being me and David.

David's pov
As me and mason were watching a movie, I heard the door open and Liza come in. I knew going to the scan would be hard for her so I had her favorite blanket waiting on the sofa and me and mace were ready to give her the biggest hug. "Mommy?" Mason asked me pointing to the door. I nodded and he smiled picking up a piece of paper which he had drawn a "picture" of Liza on it and I had written "best mommy in the world" underneath.

As Liza walked into the room, I saw her face was full of sadness. "Babe, come here" I said opening my arms out so she could cuddle with me. She walked over and crawled into my arms. I wrapped the blanket round her and pressed soft kisses to any of her skin that was in reach. "You want to talk?" I asked after a few minutes of her being silent. She nodded and sat up so I could see her face. I pulled her closer to me so she felt more comfortable, she began to talk. "It was the exact same room and midwife and it brought back all the memories, it made me think of how excited we were and how happy and we cant have any of that" she said. "Liza we already have that, in mason and nobody said we can't try again in the future" I said hugging her. Just then mason walked over with his drawing and handed it to Liza. "Thanks mason" Liza said smiling a little. Mason then climbed onto the sofa and cuddled Liza which made her just a little bit more happy.
After a while of cuddles and trying to cheer Liza up we all went out for pizza and ice cream and went to a little park for mason. We tried to forget all of the ad things going on and just enjoyed time together. As our little family.
