"Is it almost time to go home?" Emilee groaned, rubbing her face.

"Yeah, just about." I said, glancing over at the clock.

Today seemed like it had gone by quicker than usual, but hey I wasn't complaining about it. The sooner I got done here, the sooner I get to be home. Though it's pretty lonely at the house since Ryan is on tour at the moment, but that's what I signed up for.

"I think we should close up early, no one's going to come in or ring the phone this late. Let's lock up and go home." I smiled over at Emilee.

She smiled, clapping her hands and scurried about the studio, putting equipment away and grabbed her stuff off her desk. I got my things gathered as well and locked the door as Emilee and I headed towards our cars.

"I'll see you Monday morning." I said, waving to her.

"Will do, goodnight."

My phone vibrated and I saw I had a text from Ryan. He must have finished playing a show since I haven't heard from him in a few hours.

Ryan: How's my Mrs. today?

Brianne: Tired..it was a long day

Ryan: I'm sorry, Facetime me when you get home...I miss you😔

***************

A few minutes had passed and I was pulling into the driveway, seeing Ryan's car gone. It just felt like something was off when I didn't see his car there, like part of me was missing. I shrugged my shoulders, grabbing my things and walked into our quiet house.

I put my stuff down on the floor, sitting on the couch. I was barely in the house for a minute and Ryan was already requesting to Facetime me.

"Yes, Ryan?" I answered, smiling.

"I just wanted to talk to my wife because I miss her oh so much." He chuckled.

"I miss you too. How was the show tonight?" I asked, stretching out on the couch.

"Sick. You have to come out to one of our shows before this tour ends."

"Maybe. A lot of people have been booking me for photo sessions, Ryan."

"I feel like strangers get to see you more than I do." Ryan frowned.

"Same here. You got meet and greets with young things and I'm a housewife up in Scranton."

"Hey, you're the only young thing I need in my life and you're an awesome housewife and photographer." He smiled.

"I love you, you know that?" I smiled back at my screen.

"Of course I do. I've got two reminders all the time." Ryan said, flashing his wedding band and tattoo.

"Listen, I'm going to get something to eat and then go to bed, okay?"

"Okay, babe. I love you, Squanchette." He smiled.

"I love you too, Squanchy."

We hung up and I went into the kitchen to fix myself something to eat. I just made a simple sandwich and finished up in the kitchen, going upstairs to climb into the bed.

"Goodnight, Ryan." I smiled, looking at my Christmas present he gave me. It hung right on the wall from across our bed, so we could both look at the happy, significant moments in our lives.

I looked down at my engagement ring and wedding band, smiling to myself. I felt like everything in my life and marriage was happening for a reason. Good things were about to come mine and Ryan's ways.
