Brianne's POV

Today at the studio, it was Matt and myself while Emilee was out doing a shoot. Today was also the day Ryan scheduled himself to see the doctor, and man did he bitch about it.

"How are you feeling, girlfriend?" Matt asked." Em, said you weren't feeling too good the other day."

"I guess I just had an upset stomach, nothing serious."

"No baby?"

"No baby." I sighed. "Though Ryan's at the doctor's today to get checked."

Ah, see if his swimmers work." Matt chuckled.

Speaking of Ryan, I got a text from him, well a picture of him making a face at the doctor's. He's really making this into a bigger deal than it already is.

Ryan: I don't want to be here😑

Brianne: You said you wanted to go

Ryan: I know...ugh

Brianne: Suck it up you'll be fine😊😘

Emilee came back, walking into the studio, looking completely drained. She walked over to her desk and sat down, sighing.

"You okay?" Matt asked.

"Seriously? Parents asked for a professional photographer for a two year old's birthday party?"

"You survived." Matt laughed, rubbing her shoulders. "Ew! Why are you so sticky?"

Emilee gave Matt a serious look. "Everything is sticky with toddlers!"

I chuckled at her and continued with the rest of the work day. I really can't wait for sticky little fingers and cute little birthday parties.

"Has Ryan stopped by to visit you today?" Emilee asked, smiling.

"No, he was at the doctor's this morning. He, uh, wanted to get checked himself."

"I'm sure you guys are perfectly healthy. How embarrassed is he?" She laughed.

"Oh he bitched all morning, yet he's the one who set up the appointment."

"He's a guy, whether it's the doctor's or the common cold, they bitch."

I can only imagine how bad Ryan's going to be the day he gets sick. I'd probably divorce him the second I hear the first complaint from his mouth. And let's hope I never find out.

***************

Work was now over and I could finally go home and rest. I pulled into the driveway and walked into the house, setting my stuff by the front door.

"Hello?" No response. "Ryan?" I heard the bedroom door open and saw Ryan peek his head over the banister, wearing his headset.

"Hey, you." He smiled.

"What are you doing?"

"Video games."

Of course he is. I rolled my eyes and walked upstairs, going into our bedroom.

"How was the appointment?" I asked, taking off my shoes.

"Ugh."

"Oh it couldn't have been that bad." I said, looking at Ryan.

"Well it was awkward."

"But the doctor said everything's okay, right?"

"Healthy as an ox." Ryan smiled.

I laid back on the bed and sighed, staring up at the ceiling. "Then why is this so hard?"

Ryan laid beside me, propping himself up on his elbow. "I wish I knew, babe, but patience is the best remedy for every trouble. We'll have a baby, I promise."

I smiled at Ryan and gently kissed him on the lips. "Thanks for keeping my spirits up with all this."

"That's what marriage is about, being there for each other." Ryan smiled, holding my hand.

Ryan was definitely the best support system I could ever ask for and I knew he felt the same way about me. We were each other's rocks, we'll always be in each other's corner.
