Brianne's POV
I feel like I can't breathe, suffocating. It's very dark and I'm scared because I'm alone and I don't know where I'm at. The last thing I remember is turning off the radio and then seeing two very bright lights and a loud bang, along with muffled voices.
Am I dead? I have to be if I'm in some unknown black void.
"Hello." I looked down and saw a little girl in a white dress with long golden blonde hair.
"Who are you? Are we dead?" I questioned.
"No we're not dead, we just went away for awhile." She smiled.
"And who are you? You must represent life or death, right?"
"You are my mommy." She smiled, pointing at me.
I can't be, no! There's no way I'm pregnant, no way. "If I'm your mom then you have to still be in my belly and I'm probably having some sort of "life flashing before my death" experience."
The little girl giggled, pulling on my hand. "I'm not in your belly, but you'll be meeting me soon." She smiled. "And I can't wait to meet my daddy too."
I'm very confused and freaked out with what's going on here. Where's Ryan? Where's my husband?
"Am I going to die?" I asked, looking into her deep brown eyes.
"No, silly. You can't die because you and Daddy both have to meet me. But right now, Daddy needs to see you, he's so sad and misses you." She started walking away as I tried catching up to her, but it felt like bricks were tied down to my feet.
"Wait! Come back!" I called.
She turned around and looked at me with a smile. "Wait for me."
Pure whiteness blinded me as I squinted my eyes to adjust them to the light. My vision came into focus and I looked around to see doctors and nurses walking around, talking to each other or looking over charts.
Well I definitely know that I'm in a hospital. Now why am I here? I noticed my left leg was in a white cast, okay so broken leg. What the hell is going on here?
"Sweetheart!" My mother smiled ear to ear. Christ. "We were so worried about you."
I gingerly lifted up my left hand, looking towards my ring finger. My engagement ring, my wedding band, where were they? More importantly, where was the man who gave them to me?
"Your rings are fine. I'm just so happy you're eyes are opened, your father will be so excited."
"Ry-Ryan." I said, barely above a whisper.
"What?"
"Ryan."
"Oh, well he had to do some running around." She nodded. "He should come back."

Ryan's POV
I was at the house, currently sitting in my game room. I wasn't playing any video games, obviously, or even streaming just to chat with friends and fans. It was dead quiet in this house, no noise, nothing.
This is what my life will sound like when Brianne's not in the picture anymore. Whether it be because her body just couldn't fight anymore or because we've separated. I was serious if I have to be away for Brianne to live on this planet, I'll do it.
Just knowing she's alive, breathing will bring me so much joy. My phone ringing brought me back into reality and I saw Brianne's father's number appear on the screen.
"Greg?" I answered.
"She's okay, Ryan. Brianne opened her eyes and said your name." I could hear the smile in his voice.
"I-I can't see her." I frowned.
"She's your wife, get over here."
"I can't."
Her father sighed on his end. "Get over here, now."
He hung up and I ran out of the room, going down the steps to get into my car. I pulled out of the driveway and drove down the street, trying not to get a speeding ticket. I arrived at the hospital and took the elevator to the ICU. I got off, walking down the hallways and saw her father standing outside the unit doors.
Here we go.
"Greg."
"Hey." He said, facing me.
"Why are you standing out here?"
"The doctors are in there at the moment. But what's going on with you? It was like pulling teeth to get you here."
I sighed, leaning up against the wall and shoved my hands into my hoodie pockets. "The other day, I went to the chapel and I promised that if Brianne survived this then I would leave."
"How stupid are you, Ryan?"
"Well you and her mother blamed me for Brianne being in here and then her mother said she'd take Brianne back to Pittsburgh."
Greg sighed, placing his hand on my shoulder. "Ryan, I'm sorry for that, I was just scared about losing my daughter. As for my ex wife, forget her and she can't force Brianne home, Brianne's an adult. Look, no marriage is perfect, me and Brianne's mother being a prime example. You took a vow in front of me, my entire family and yours that you'd be with Brianne no matter what. She loves you and I know it because I see how happy you make each other and the fact you're the first person she asked for when she woke up. You can't leave her, Ryan, you two were made for each other."
A small smile appeared on my face as I nodded my head. "Thank you."
"Anytime."
I pressed the button and waited for the door to unlock. Greg and I walked in, heading over to Brianne's bed. The biggest smile crept on my face when I saw her lying there, bright blue eyes wide open. Brianne looked at me, a tiny smile forming on her lips.
"Hi, beautiful." I said, sitting beside my wife.
"Ryan, I thought you were busy?" Her mother asked, looking over at me.
"Well obviously she's more important." I replied, glaring a bit at her.
"We'll run a few more tests in the morning, probably start with a CAT scan and go from there." Brianne's doctor said, smiling. "You rest and keep getting better." He gently pat Brianne on the hand.
I smiled, holding back a laugh as I saw her roll her eyes a bit. Yep, my wife is back.
***************
Brianne's parents had left and it was just me and Brianne now, a perfect moment.
"I missed you so much, we all did." I sniffed, softly kissing Brianne's forehead. "I thought I lost you." Brianne placed her hand on top of mine, slowly running her thumb over my tattooed skin. I carefully laced our fingers and looked at her. "You're my everything and more, Brianne."
